@@Marrphy I've only tried the Manifesto Gelée Curl Contour and I loved it. It has a gel-creamy texture and leaves my hair smooth, shiny, and not greasy at all. TBH, I didn't try the full range because most curl products are too heavy on my hair, and they weigh it down. My hair is quite fine and usually wavy, so my stylist recommended me to keep using the Genesis line (shampoo and conditioner for hair falling), and buy the gelée to keep the frizz under control 😊

These products made my hair straight/wavy. First time I used them was after using Kérastase Nutritive Bain Satin 1 shampoo & Kérastase Nutritive Lait Vital conditioner. Then next time shampooed with Love curl, still the same result. Tried the spray, which made it even straighter. I am very disappointed, was really looking forward to using these products. My hair type is type 3a, low porosity.

I've been through curly hair journey for a long time, and I must say - u dont need a kilo of products to detangle it or make it look good!))) When u wash ur hair just add more water, less product, and it will spread well. Despite on what kerastase says to squeeze out all water and then apply a product (you will just finish up the product much faster and ur hair will look weighed down) you dont have to do it (and not only their products, rule applies to the rest as well). And for refreshing - just sleep on a silk pillowcase, refreshing products most of the time make hair dirty

@avacarma2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, first of all I really enjoy your channel and the products you select x Secondly, I wanted to share my feed back on this Kerastase range as I have started to use it since a year now after watching your video. I have, I think, a mix of 2c, 3a and 3b curls and my hair is baseline thick but I also have been highlighting it more and more gradually during this past year so it’s obviously dryer now. I have also used some of the products from Bain Satin (the mask) and Blond absolu (purple mask) in alternance so can compare mask at least. The pros of this range imo: 1. the lightness of the products. Absolutely zero stickiness and crunchy feel which is pretty amazing for a curly/ coils hair range; 2. Level of nourishment/hydration is quite good The cons: 1. The price however some products are worth it, some others I’m thinking of looking for cheaper, just as good alternatives Hero products: 1. curl refresher (can’t do without), 2. Leave in treatment Crème de jour (light, no sticky residue but nourishing enough), 3. Shampoo (cleanse very well without stripping but would love to find a cheaper alternative to this one, too pricy imo for a shampoo) Meh products: 1. Conditionner and mask. I tried both as wasn’t sure which one to go for. I didn’t find a huge difference in p.erformance when I switched to the mask. I then compared it to the Bain satin and i had better results with the CM mask in fairness. I do like the conditioner and mask but again, I think I tried cheaper alternatives that were just as good; 2. Curl contour gel. It’s good in the sense that it is a soft texture and leaves no crunch however i feel my hair is dryer afterwards when I apply it. Also, I admit I don’t have the patience to work it in to define my curls, etc... I would say it is a great product for curlier/ coily hair and/or for peeps who spend the time to define each curl one by one Not worth it products: Oil. Better, cheaper alternatives out there or if you want to keep same price point I’m sure other ranges from Kerastase have better options. Personally I keep going back to the Morrocanoil one despite not being mad on the smell Sorry for the lengthy review but I hope it helps some of your followers Mike! I might give the L’Oreal Prof curl range a go next after watching your video. I’d love to try Living Proof but can’t afford it right now xx

Brilliant video! Just found you on KZbin and your recommendations are excellent! I have long fine hair but lots of it. It’s curly (2b/2c) when I air dry it but it can easily be blown dried straight or curly. Having said that, I love the hair mask! I always use masks instead of conditioners as I find they don’t weigh my hair down and give me the nutrition and hydration my hair needs. I tend to use a cheap shampoo for volume (0,65€ from Balea by the German drugstore brand DM). It gives me volume like no expensive shampoo has ever done. However I do find my hair gets greasy rather quickly (second day). Any tips? Perhaps a shampoo recommendation? Lots of love from Germany!

if the hair gets greasy it means there a huge amount of silicon in the products you use and its not cleansed out correctly x

This was a lovely review... Thank you Mr DeCanter for reviewing them, these products sound good HOWEVER: Dear black people, (also mixed race, and ALL curly hair product users), Please first consider, before bathing yourself in manuka honey for the sake of frizz-free, shiny hair… That it might not be a good idea to do so right before all of the bees start to emerge for Summer. This “Manifesto” project was either poorly innovated by Kerestase or just, let's say, rude. I don't know who would want to put honey in their hair like this approaching Summer... but please, THINK for yourselves. You are not stupid. Just look at it for what it is..... Putting honey in your hair right when the Bees come out. It is pretty much a given what will happen. I know how exciting it is when a new product comes out for curls, since, as the reviewer mentioned; in fact, there are not a lot of good products by kerastase (or in general) for curls. But I encourage you to maybe find a simpler method to hydrate and set your curls. And also, let me say, curls: nothing is wrong with you, even though society tries to tell you that you are damaged. No, you ARE beautiful and unique. I have found that the LESS I do to my curls..... THE BETTER off I am. Of course your curls need to be moisturized, but I encourage you to find a solution that is simpler…. and that which is simpler is probably what is best for the hair. Try not to layer many different products on top of each other or mix products…the chemical reaction can sometimes ruin the hair. These new “Curl Manifesto” products may be objectively good, I have not tried them, but I think that if anyone bathes in honey before bee season, then, douses their heads with multiple products all containing honey, there is only one thing left to happen…. you may have shiny hair but the bees will be chasing you around all Summer. Really. It’s not even a joke, it will be difficult to go outside. Also consider that whatever you put onto your head and scalp will eventually go into your body and you will sweat out that which is attractive to bees in addition to having it all over your head. Think for yourself, do what makes the most sense - use your own intuition to discover the best methodology for caring for your hair. Don't necessarily believe that you must follow the regimens suggested by companies. Most often I find that they are just trying to make money and to destroy hair so that you need to buy their expensive repair routine. If there's nothing wrong with your hair, then you won't need them. Try a simpler solution and see how you will be happier and your hair will be healthier, and you won't be compulsively shopping for hair products. Best wishes to you all. I truly hope that you find the best solution for you rather than to try putting honey on yourselves on the cusp of bee season. I took the time to write this because I truly empathize for people who are searching for something to make them feel more accepted in the world because of the sense of rejection that there has been regarding curly hair. I hope that you all realize who you really are is beautiful and dignified. xxxxxxxxxxxx

What are you babbling about? The amount of honey used in this product is NEGLIGIBLE. It's just marketing so save the drama for another channel. As far as the rest of your rant...well I can't make heads or tails of it.
