Mikee Hi on FRIENDS - 4th & 5th appearance

Look for Mike sitting at a table by himself near the door as Ross's Girlfriend, Mona, enters Central Perk. In the next clip look for Mike standing and talking to some girls as Joey enters and begins to tell Ross that he has feelings for Rachel. Look for Mike again as Ross mentions "he was once dumped during sex" and again when he is served his warm milk and then again at the very end of the clip after Ross Leaves Joey is left alone.
This Clip is a little long but shows the full drama of this situation between Joey and Ross in which this particular episode ends with this dramatic cliffhanger. This clip then continues into the next episode which originally aired 2 weeks after Part 1 of this episode.

Even though it didn’t turn out as expected and the only way to recover is to be Treegers dancing partner, he did it anyways even though it was so embarrassing When phoebe lost a whole year of her life, and didn’t get to finish things that she wanted to do, Joey stepped up and helped her finish some of them In the lottery episode with the wishbone, Joey didn’t wish that they would win but wished that chandler will get the job He also forgave chandler for kissing Kathy And he let Rachel and Emma live with him. He always considered others feelings before his own.

Then she sets him aside and says she won't do it again. When Rachel hurt her ribs, she begs Ross to help and wants her him stay with her. Ross cancels his panel of Discovery just to tend to her. She made Bonnie shave her head so that Ross would break up with her. She ends up getting what she wants, but realizes that nothing has changed. She makes it known that she won't be attending Ross's wedding, then at the last minute goes to tell him she loves him despite everyone telling her it's a bad idea. Even though she never fell through with telling her feelings it was clear that her sudden embrace alone was enough to trigger Ross. She dates Paul out of spite knowing that it makes Ross uncomfortable. She was the one who originally suggested that they should get married in Vegas. When Monica and Chandler get engaged, she immediately goes to Ross to reignite. She was the one who came on to Ross which led to Emma's conception. When Ross suggests to get married now that she's pregnant she rejects it; and despite telling Ross that he can be as involved as he wants with the baby, she later forbids him from dating anyone while she's pregnant. That's full blown hypocrisy. Ross is no saint himself, but it's no wonder why he keeps doing this. He constantly believes that they're going to get back together because she keeps leading him on. Especially when he deletes the message for Rachel. They are 2 characters who were very controlling towards each other and were never actually 'over' their break up after 7 years.

You can see how much Ross loves Rachel, still, but obviously it’s too complex for him to explore. He can’t have her at that moment, and no one else can. It’s selfish yes but it’s just too much for him, to see another man win her heart. I love Joey, he’s such a sweet man with honest intentions. The man can’t lie, he may be a little stupid at times but he has a golden heart. That’s why it’s so sad and complicated that Joey loves Rachel; two great men who are best friends, in love with the same woman.

I totally disagree with Ross. These things, to a large extent, cannot be helped. Joey is not to blame for his feelings and also, Joey proved that he cared more for Ross than his feelings for Rachael because he came clean prior to doing anything with Rachael. Ross acted like an entitled baby here.

Ross acted appropriately, was sad all the way around and the fact that Joey was so reluctant to come clean, tells you that he himself knew the situation was uncomfortable whether Ross and Rachel were together or not. They broke up because of the circumstances surrounding them, not because they stopped having feelings for each other, I think it was clear to all of them that the possibility of them getting back together was always there. The writers, almost screwed up the entire series with this arc, in my opinion.

Poor poor Joey. I am actually the rarest of the rare who has been shipping Joey and Rachel. Actually I remember this storyline as one my earliest memories of friends. By that time Friends was on rerun on Comedy Central and it used to play on late nights. I was so invested in the story even though I had missed almost like 7 seasons of it. Its Matt Le Blanc's acting that made it so relatable and memorable at the same time. I really wanted Joey and Rachel to be a couple and I thought this "tall guy" was being unreasonable. I have watched 10 seasons at least 10 times by now and I still stand by my original opinion: Ross was being unreasonable. He had a child with Rachel, yes. But they never really agree on anything. Both Ross and Rachel find it difficult to understand each other. With Joey, Rachel is effortless. And Ross did have better understanding with Mona. Also Charlie. He should have let go of his silly childhood crush by now.

Rather than being written to return the gesture in kind, the writers made him cling onto his dead-end marriage with Emily instead, which thus figures that it's totally up to himself and his own complaining of not being with Rachel's at the time. Joey's was more than fair.

You can't blame him for this reaction beacuse afterthat he tells Joey that he should tells Rach the way he feels which means that his idiot reaction is out of shocking. This also proves that Ross loves Rach so much to the extent to let her be with Joey. He wants her to be happy. When she is happy, he is happy. Also, after acting fine in s10, he tells Joey that he wants them to be together which also proves the same previous thing, so the same thing applies here.
