Never delete these videos, there is an incredible wealth of information in them for people like me who intend on owning their trucks for their lifetime. Especially considering I've had that recall on my fuel pump too... After having Toyota try and fix some damage on the front I will never let them touch my truck ever again! They did a horrendous job, scratched the door, and on the return trip scratched the bed too without fixing the scratch I asked them to fix! Absolute buffoonery of a repair shop.

So one dealership makes a mistake and you blame all of Toyota? Thats nonsensical. I've been to 2 Toyota dealerships here in Las Vegas and both have been excellent. As far as scratches go its a truck , meant for offroadidng, so scratches are going to happen.

Man I feel you on liking the autos more offroad. No problem just cruising on dirt roads with a stick shift, but it's soo much less work with an auto to get past the really steep and rocky stuff.
@MS-mr4zm
@MS-mr4zm 2 жыл бұрын
On a smaller vehicle tho like a wrangler or reg cab midsize truck, new bronco, etc I feel like a stick shift offers more control & “feel” for what’s going on underneath ya, also….if you’re in right rock crawling type off-roading manual has many advantages like ability to quickly alternate back/forth between 1st & R…which can really stress out an auto trans, being able to quickly drop into neutral is nice too. Advantage of an auto is obviously “2 foot driving” be able to stabilize the truck w/ the brake & load suspension while simultaneously giving it gas.

I'm sure you already are, but make sure you keep all the receipts of the new cats and their serial numbers for future smog checks....I recently failed my smog check because the CA smog operator couldn't read the serials on the cats that were about 2 years old with surface rust....had to contact my cat/ muffler guy and get the necessary paperwork that verified the serials....at that point, smog check passed. Lesson learned. Man, your truck looks sick! I have a 2000 Prerunner TRD V6 3.4L....bought it brand new 22 years ago! Its my daily driver and I still love it....Cheers on the cool channel 👍🇺🇸

Ill share a little experience I had with a 1999 Wrangler I owned. It was a 15 gallon and it wouldnt fill up either. Always clicked. Well 19 gallons was an optional tank back then and someone compared the two and they are the same tank. Just a different vent level. The longer the vent, the less gallons it would hold. I cut the whole neck off from the inside. I could hold almost 20 gallons and I could fill up all the way without it clicking. Maybe the same issue youre having.

Some techs just tilt the front of the tank down and squeeze the fuel pump out the top with the truck on a rack, rather than dropping the whole fuel tank. Whoever did your recall tried to do that and did a very poor job. Bent the fuel pump housing and broke the float off trying to squeeze it out.
