Another great tutorial! For advanced users, I would recommend creating blockers - low poly versions of the house and other geometry - to use as colliders instead of the high poly assets. It will speed up the physics calculations especially if the house mesh is really high poly.

Hi love your videos as always.. Just one doubt.. When I use the paint effect trees.. I can't render it in Arnold... It still shows the rectangular quads rather than the tree leaves... Any help would be really appreciated Love your videos again 😀😀

The problem Im having is after I convert paint to polygons...the CherryTreeLeafShader is glowing very brightly. Even when I turn Glow Intensity to 0 or a negative value...its still glowing pretty bright. The tree looks great BEFORE I convert to polygons. Not sure why this glow is happening.

You were talking about having some leaves fall and some stay on the tree. How would you do that and have some artistic control over it? How to “release” leaves over time?

Joost, that is possible. #1. Separate the leaves by using Mesh - Separate #2.Group leaf sections scattered over the tree, for example 4 groups. Group 1 stays on, group 2 falls first, then 3, then 4 #3 Turn group 2,3 and 4 into nCloth as shown in video. #4 Keyframe the gravity from 0 to 9.8 on each group but with different frame intervals. So group1 stays on ( no nCloth ) Group 2 falls at frame 50, group 3 at 80 etc

I did some tests. Coding is not needed. Using multiple nCloth objects is a possibility, though I would not keyframe the gravity on the nucleus node, as this would need a separate nucleus solver per nCloth object, which means no interaction between the nCloth objects. Better to either keyframe the "Ignore solver gravity" attribute on the nCloths or disable the gravity on the nucleus node and use a gravity field per nCloth object. In my opinion the best solution I found was to use a constraint which you can either keyframe per constraint, or use a map (texture or per-vertex) to control the glue strength of the constraint. With some noise as input texture, you can create nice effects while keeping the effect as procedural as possible.
