One injury Mike didn't speak about: The 1972-73 ECF saw John Havlicek break his right shoulder.... and he helped the Celtics take the series against the Knicks to 7 games by playing left handed off the bench. That alone takes some guts.

great video mike. I love Isiah Thomas. The 1st time I saw those highlights I was in awe. I was amazed to see him limp around the court and still dominate. I quickly learned the history of The Bad Boys, and I've been a fan of Zeke's every since.

But they weren't as bad. Like the Isiah Thomas one was VERY similar to Rondo's. Rondo played with 1 arm and Thomas played with 1 foot. I don't think Dirk's should be on here cause it wasn't an injury. Brandon Roy and McHale weren't single game injuries they were just things they dealt with. And Bird's was too. Those are too similar to the video he already made. He should have made this like single game injury comebacks.

Hey Mike, I'm a huge fan of your channel and love every single video you've done thus far! This idea just popped into my head and I thought you would be the perfect person to analyze this. With this player being inducted into the HOF and having his jersey retired recently, what are your thoughts on making a "What If" video about Yao Ming? What would the NBA/Houston Rockets look like today had he not suffered a career ending injury? Like I said, I'm a huge fan of your channel and think you're doing a phenomenal job!

McHale was one of the most mobile bigs before his foot. That 86 Celtics team used to play with the opposite of small ball with a line-up of Walton, Parish , McHale with Bird and DJ in the backcourt. Most of those games Kevin would play the two guard on D. Ridiculously underrated today... Especially on 2K

Great vid Mike, here's something else on Kevin McHale and his navicular. In the sport of Australian Rules Football, where broken noses see nothing but tape and a pat on the back, players are knocked out regularly, strained hamstrings only require two weeks on the sidelines and ACL ruptures are quite common, broken navicular bones are almost career-ending injuries and see players not even being able to walk, let alone play. Keep in mind that these sportsmen are a few of the toughest athletes in the world. McHales ability to play through the broken navicular is nothing less than superhuman. Thought this would give a little more to the story. All the best.

I felt like another great Brandon Roy example was Game 4 in the 2011 first round when he scored 18 in the fourth quarter...great video either way

Thank you for finally showing Isiah some love... LOVED seeing this... Please, when you get around to it, do a what if on if the Bad Boy Pistons had won in 88, made it to the finals in 87, and if Zeke had maybe not injured his hand in 91... They very well may have gotten at least a little bit of the respect they command even as real world back to back champs...

Well, maybe he means that even though all these players weren't 100% ready to compete, they still found a way to play every minute possible. It's obvious that a flu is not an injury, but it's something not to be taken lightly. That's what I think. :)
