Ik I was talking about how golden state Warriors had cap space to get durant
@loadhmmmhmmm7 жыл бұрын
I mean, that only would've really been a problem for the Knicks. The Bulls, OKC, and the Warriors drafted most of their talent. Harden, Wall, Klay, and Draymond all would've been on small rookie contracts. Same for Curry, Butler, and maybe Aldridge on the Bulls, and same for Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka. For people like Aldridge who would've had their contracts expire early after the team would've had to resign Bird, it would be fine for them to give a max contract to both Bird and Aldridge. The video probably didn't go far enough to show teams getting in trouble with having 4 max players and no money to sign them all. The Knicks on the other hand, no way they could sign Lebron, CP3, Melo, and Love, all would demand max contracts and that just couldn't happen.

Felixbsnpr M Im a bron fan, who and i think this vid was great. Mike puts alot of effort into make such well developed content. honestly, lebron might have really struggled with tons of superstars in one era. kobe, magic, bird, kg, paul pierce, kd, westbrook, curry, wall, aldridge, paul, harden. The list goes on and on. Frankly it would be hard jordan to even get 6 rings in an era like that, he would most likley get 3 or 4

Magic Johnson won a championship in his rookie year by switching from a 6' 9" point guard to a center in the Finals. I can buy Magic not making the playoffs his rookie year, but he will always be a lock for RotY. Magic was a superstar from day one

@gc3k7 жыл бұрын
Bird did win RotY but what does "by a lot" mean?
@2Feetgood7 жыл бұрын
By a lot means Larry Bird was the leader of their team, Magic wasn't. Bird got better stats and their team won 32 more games than last season.
@gc3k7 жыл бұрын
Bird's stats weren't a lot better (Bird's 21.3/10/4.5 vs Magic's 18/7/7, and more steals and better FG% from Magic) In the 1979 season the Celtics were tied up in an owner swap and a number of trades with the now-Clippers, which put them in position to draft Bird then McHale the following year Put Bird and Magic on a depleted team like the Bulls and Hornets, it's not a foregone conclusion that Bird would win RotY, since it was already a close race in the 1980 season

Stephen Curry would they? a player like Curry wouldn't be given the green light to take 8 three's a game. driving to the basket would get him floored by power forwards and centers repeatedly. LeBron wouldn't be able to flop and actually play at full capacity, he also would have gone to college and came into the league more developed than he already was as a rookie. few players would stay the same.

Wade is top 3 SG of all time and Garnett easily top 5 in the PF. So if there's a top 5 in every position. Both of them are at least in top 25 of all time you filthy casual.
@cristianalcarazgot4257 жыл бұрын
Garnett it's the one i have in the top 25 (maybe 21 or 22) Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kareem, Larry Bird, Lebron James, Tim Duncan, Bill Russell, Hakeem, Big O, Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe, David Robinson, Jerry West, Julius Erving, Karl Malone, John Stockthon, Isiah Thomas, Charles Barkley, Elgin Baylor, Dirk. That's my top 20 not in particular order. I can see both Wade and Garnett hovering around top 21-25 as you said, but that doesn't make my statment any less true. "filthy casual"

Birds scoring average would be about the same (within a 2-3 point variance either way) His rebound numbers would drop a couple but his assist total would rise as he found the open man in the paint or gunned it to another 3 point specialist when he drew the double team. He would possibly be a dominant force because today's NBA plays into his game well. 3 point shooting while still possessing solid fundamentals. It is very possible his defense would take a step back however... Magic would still have some success. White he was an okay perimeter shooter, it's not his game and would not be his game in today's NBA. So I don't see his scoring average rising. Magic would still thrive as the assist man on fast breaks. He would be a star still but not dominant like his 80s campaign. Please keep in mind all of the above stated is just my opinion. I am interested in other people's thoughts however.
