TASER Training - Academy 101 (FX3 / 35mm GM)
Part of the curriculum of the Nevada State Police Academy is the TASER Training Course. Cadets are taught how to use the TASER. Included in the training is exposure to the device or getting tased. The exposure training highlights its capabilities and limitations. Scenario based training is also done to show where TASER use is in the Use of Force Continuum. Students are required to set up their Taser in a cross draw or off hand draw to avoid officers mistake / mistaking the gun for their Taser (taser gun mistake).

The wounds typical of a taser are caused by the two prongs. Each pronged penetrates the surface of the skin a little bit more than what is caused by a blood sugar test by a diabetic. Two bandaids is all it takes to patch a cadet up.
