I love the Buds Live purely for that open fit. I hate suffocating clammy feeling of a design that seals the ear. I will be very disappointed if they stop making open design buds in the future. We need the Live 2s.

Came here to say this. I love the Buds Live. They're the most comfortable earbuds I've ever used, and I've used many. They don't stay in as well as some others I've had, but they're certainly not the worst either. I walk around with them in my ears all the time, and I like having the ability to hear other people without taking them out. Just depends on what you want out of your earbuds.

I tested both the Buds 2 and the Buds Live. The Lives felt so much better in my ear, the sound was better, they stay better in my ear, they are quite comfortable to wear and they last for like ever. I wore them at the gym and they didn't fall out. My ears don't sweat while wearing them. The Buds 2 would make my ear canal sweat and that would cause them to fall off. Plus I hated the stuffy feeling they have me which the Lives don't give. I'd say though that, after wearing them for a very long time, when I take them out my ears feel a bit sore. But I never seem to feel this while wearing them. All in all I love my beans.

yeah, ppl need to separate these two main type of earbuds ,the open ear type(or what ever people wants to call it, and the closed in type, because the feel ,and comfort of these two type are very different, and the live, for what it cost now, us very good indeed

I also have the Buds Live and they rarely come loose and I can barely feel them. I'd categorise them as ear pod/open style earbuds. Great comfort and sound. To add: the only time the Live ANC works is on an airplane, it really makes the ride and any content so much more enjoyable. I just got the Buds2 pro for the wife and features, battery, auto ambient mode switching etc are all a step up, but I'd say a different type of earbud.

I love the Buds 2 Pro so much. I've never had a better fitting Earbud before them. Although the Buds Pro sounded great and noise canceling was really good, my gripe was they would fall out easily when I smiled or laughed or bent down to pick something up. The Buds 2 Pro just fit great, I love the Soft Matte finish, eartips are way better. With the Buds Pro the tip would sometimes fall off if I took them out at a weird angle. Samsung did a great job this time.

Just got my Buds 2 Pro today. Listened to music for several hours, and I'm very impressed! Listening on Tidal, which takes advantage of the new 24 bit sound, and I was very impressed with the level of detail coming out! I definitely prefer them to the original Pro buds. Also, liked the fit better as well.

Buds live is perfectly for me and I really love that open fit. I wish they do upgrade version of it. The sound is really good, they doesn't feel stuffy, noise canceling is not bad and I can wear them comfortably. My ear doesn't feel oily and itchy when I have it for a long time like other buds. They r that comfortably even sometimes forgetting I have them on lol and they don't fall off as easily like many tho they would do when they see the form of it. Have been using it for 2 years now (got it for almost free with my Samsung phone). Walking around alot with them. Had the first buds before. I'm now looking for other buds too (live still works great, just looking for other one). Idk which one to get yet.

Ear shape really does make an insanely huge difference. So many people in the comments saying the Live have a perfect fit but to me, I had to return them due to them falling out so often. Gonna try the 2 pros next and hope for the best.

I’ve had the Beans for two months and I’ve been loving them. I use them while I’m at work, at a smoothie place, and they stay pretty good on my ear while I’m making smoothies and carrying tubs of sherbet in and out of the freezer. And they don’t plug out the outside noise too much so I can still hear when my manager shouts at me or something idk. And it’s fun when I leave one of them at the register and someone will shout “dude, your bean!”

I've been using the Galaxy Buds Live for almost 2 years now and got the Buds2 last year at 50% discount but I still prefer the Live over 2. It's just so comfortable to wear for long periods of time unlike the Buds 2 where I have to remove it after an hour and a half; I prefer the buds2 for online meetings for its better microphone. The ANC in the Buds Live should have been marketed as noise reduction so that reviewers would have not given it too much flak for what it does.

Why would they label it as "ANC" when it doesn’t even work. You waste battery, while having no noise reduction at all. It makes no difference because there's literally no seal for effective noise canceling.

I love my Galaxy Buds Live and I've had the orig. Buds and the Pros. They sound amazing, comfortable they fit in my ear and never move, and love the color. They definitely have adjustable ANC and not only can you control the volume as well as tune with tap you can customize the tap controls, and it definitely has the Ambient Noise feature too..

I love the Galaxy Buds Pro 2. I was worried they were going to be like the GBP and not have ear tips big enough for my canal. The large tips are much larger and actually seal. On top of that, went for a bike ride over 2 hours and experienced zero pain or discomfort. People on the trail said hi and I could ear them, or when a bike was coming up behind me I could hear them and still listen to my music. I like the GBL, but I have had 3 pair and they all had issues keeping a bluetooth connection. One pair was so bad you had to have the phone within about a foot or they would keep disconnecting. If the BT wasn't so bad in the Lives, they would be great for around the house. Maybe you could make a list of buds that people with very large ear canals could use?

I just got my Buds2Pro and I can confirm that they do not fall out of my ears. I do a lot of running and these are the first pair of buds besides the original with the wingtips that actually stay in my ears when I go running or workout at the gym 🙏

I own the Buds Live and the Buds Pro. I really like them both but prefer the Live most of the time! I think that most reviews significantly underrate them. They have fewer features, but the features they have work very well. They seamlessly connect every time. The touch controls are flawless. The sound is solid, but lacks a touch of treble and depth of soundstage. But the fit is great. Really great. They did take a bit of getting used to, especially with proper insertion in the earlobes. These can be made to seal, and that makes all the difference in the sound. Finally, I bought refurb units on AMZ for $43! Tremendous value. Off the charts IMO. *** I suspect that many reviewers (not Mike) don't take the time and effort to get to know these.

Same impressions as mine. I think sammy overcompensated the bass region as buds form factor always had issues with subbass, and also agree with the treble region. Since these are BT anyways, I just EQ to tweak them to my own preferences. I lost the first pair I had and instantly bought another one - that's how much I love the Buds Live. I have a lot of TWS and IEMs but the Lives are the ones that have seen more action as of late. Pretty excited for Live 2nd Gen (and hoping they'd come with true Multipoint this time)

I must credit the design team behind the buds 2 pro, they sit in your ears really, really well! My only gripe is the super smooth matte texture which may be a little slippery at times, also the touch gestures can be a little too sensitive but you can always turn it off in the settings. And when it comes to the sound, they can seriously compete with the airpods pro 2. The buds 2 pro case is definitely smaller in size, more lightweight and seem to have a better hinge quality than compared to the airpods pro 2 as well. Great work overall!

one feature that matters to me Is being able to put just one ear bud in while leaving the other in the case, I have the buds 2 but there starting to cut out or sometimes they get an Ecco effect for a few seconds so I just ordered the buds2 pro. I hope I love them as much as the buds 2 I have.

the Galaxy Buds Live have been a breath of fresh air in my experience. At first they're a little weird, but they're very nice as an every day headset when you still want to be able to have a conversation. Never been a big fan of the in-ear silicone tips to be honest.

Thanks for the video. I’ll probably try some Buds 2 Pro once they go on sale. Day to day at work I still rock the Buds+. They just work, and battery life is still incredible. I got a free set of Buds Live with my Galaxy Watch a couple years ago and hated them until 1 day I finally figured out how to get them locked into my upper outer ear. I still use them for sitting at a desk with my iPad and at times forget I have them on, but getting them to fit for everyone is no easy task.

TBH i think the Live's sound the best. I heard no wind what so ever unlike the other 3. I have the Pro's 2 and Live's and i have to say i keep reaching for the Live's they fit my ear's perfectly, they dont protrude, you cant even tell i have them in my ears, they never fall out and i can wear them all day long and sometimes i even forget i have them in. I guess i have the perfect ears for the Live's. I have been so used to them i now hate anything with a silicone tip as they irritate my ears after an hour or so, ear fatigue is a huge issue as well. Hence why i also love my Airpods 2 and Gen 3 no silicone tips. At then end of the day i guess it all comes down to how you use and what for ?

A fact to consider about Buds Live, I have the Buds Live and also Buds Pro, about 1 year ago my Buds live accidentally went with my shorts to a full 1.5 hour 60°C washing circle through the night, I only realised the next day while hanging the clothes, the earbuds were still working but I still put them in iso alcohol and after in a bag of rice and they still work great, the case does not hold charge but still charge the buds while USB-C is plugged. They're kinda extremely waterproof.😂😂😂

I love my buds live. The most comfortable fit and also as we saw in your test the best sound for phone calls outdoors where the others just have the loud wind noise. This is why I will be sticking with the live set. They sound great with excellent bass and overall clarity. Noise cancellation works great on these too. Must be an individual fit issue you are experiencing.

Having had Every buds that came out since the Original Buds, including the Buds+, Buds Iconx, Buds Live, Buds Pro, Buds 2 and now the Buds2 Pro, I can definitely say that this is prime time to buy some Buds. The Buds2pro retain most of that amazing sound the buds pro had, and keep the same battery life, while improving ANC and also reducing weight and size. From a design point, that is marvellous. I still have 2 pairs of my Buds live, one in my travel bag and one on my bedside. While everyone hates on the Beans, I love them for my main use case which is falling asleep listening to music/relaxing sounds/podcasts etc. The design of the beans allows you to wear them for hours while laying down on a pillow and not getting that discomfort of something being jabbed into your ear canal. The Beans technically have better ANC than the Buds 2, and have a fuller sound for sure due to it's bigger drivers. With the Beans being so old now, you can find them refurb for around $60 which is an amazing price for what you're getting compared to other $60 buds.

I LOVE my Galaxy Buds Live. I have tried so many earbuds in the past and have never found a pair that I was able to wear comfortably. The Live buds are wonderful! I can wear them for hours, they don't fall out, the music sounds really good and if someone needs to talk to me, I can pause the music and have a conversation without removing them. There may be slightly better sound from other earbuds, but it really doesn't matter how good the sound if they fall out or hurt my ears. As for noise canceling I wear these on a plane and the music is still loud and clear. If I really want amazing sound I use over the ear headphones at home. I hope they come out with a Live 2 someday.

I have had third-party earbuds for a few years, and they recently broke. I decided to splurge on decent earbuds since I mostly use them for commutes, and I ordered the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and my goodness, I felt like I had been missing out! I never experienced real noise cancellation. I always thought it was due to clogging up my ear canal (always painful after long use, assuming that experience is normal). I'm so happy with my purchase! Now I'm going to get a warranty for my earbuds.

I have had Sony XM3 and XM4 as well as Bose Quiet Comforts, and the Buds Live have always been my favourite. The only reason I don't use them as much as the XM4 and Bose are that they're not even remotely water resistant so they're not suitable for the gym at all. If they did a Buds Live 2 with sweat proofing then I'd 100% use those the most.

Only thing holding me back from the buds 2 pro is the likelihood that they'll fall out of my ears because they're so small and lack wings. So far stem style buds have fit me the best for some reason, but I appreciate the buds+ for the large wings and I use 3rd party eartips to keep them in. The fit of the buds+ is so perfect I wish they'd make a comeback with noise canceling.

Then the buds 2 felt better, however they would come out if I move my jaw, eating, talking. So I'm looking forward to the new buds 2 pro as far as comfort, sound and being portable.

Interesting take on the Live's, I got a pair when they were released and they have been the best! I've used them every day for years. They stay in my ears perfectly, used them to work out, go running, used them rafting and kayaking, amazing on planes witht he noise canceling, and just for everyday use. Great sound quality, great with calls and connectivity, and so comfortable. Other headphones and earbuds end up hurting after hours of use because they are squeezed into the ear canal and pressure against that opening over time just hurts. They aren't perfect, they don't have call answer and end features, and you can't control and from the buds (you need to go into the app). I unfortunately left mine on a plane during a long trip and layover so am in the market to get a new set. Figured I'd look to see what the newest models are out there. The shape and fit of these buds are perfect and I am really disappointed that Samsung doesn't seem to be continuing this line. After seeing what's currently out, for me, the other models may have some better features, but the Live's are just superior in fit and comfort. Absolutely getting another pair.

I have the buds live and really like them. For me comfort is the most important thing and I often forget I have them on. That said, they have literally no ANC, so as the reviewer said, turn if off it does nothing but waste battery life. Also they are not great for exercising. Once you start to sweat, they start to slip out. Having said that, for sitting in front of the computer and listening to musing while I work, or when I want to watch something without bothering my partner, they are perfect.

Interesting, have to say I push my buds live way further into my ear canal so they stick only half way out. Makes them look a lot more inconspicuous than the other buds. Guess its an other fit for other people 😅

Between the air pods and air pods pro and Galaxy buds pro and the beans live, the live is the best comfort and fit for me. I keep coming back to them. In my opinion the sound these pump out is so much better then the other buds. At the same volume level the live just have a clearer and a nice thump. Ear geometry is key here tho, regular air pods fall out of my ears without having to do much.

I have the buds live and as of lately they been hurting me a lot if I use them for bit more than 1 hour. Sounds silly because they just lay there and don't go in your ear canal but feels like where it sits gets that tiring pain. Do you have any tips on what I could be doing wrong? I'm still using and loving my Galaxy buds+. I got the buds live for free when I pre-ordered my Galaxy Watch 5. I might just keep it as a just in case, since I believe that they've phrased out the Galaxy buds+ line. I also got the Galaxy buds Pro but I gave it to my boyfriend. Great comparison. The Buds 2 Pro, for me have been amazing. The sound quality is top notch, the 360 audio for music is a great addition to make the music sound much fuller and richer. Also, ANC is pretty good. NOT as strong as the pros, but you won't really tell much! They're also comfortable and when in contact with sweat, they increase friction. I hated how the Buds Pro kept falling out my ears and they bulge out and caused discomfort, however great sound quality, just not a good fit. The Buds 2 were my least favorite. They were slippery, not much of a water resistance pro, and they were too small with no support. Sound quality is decent. Better than the Lives, but no support. I turned those back in after having them for one day.

the sound, specifically, is great if you have Samsung device (probably only mid range and and high end Samsung device only) but without Samsung device, u can only go as far as good as AAC codec can get, and it might not be one of the best sound quality at the price range anymore

They fit in my ear perfectly, sound slightly better then buds 2 (which already sounded gooood). Anc finally improved but still not apple pro's level. Overall I love them.

@@dunoss samsung galaxy buds + is way better than any other buds than Buds2pro. Pros: 11-13 h of sound, good mic, and nice fit, Price. Cons: no Anc, Ok music quality but not amazing. Buds2pro Pros: sound quality, amazing seal and fit, ANC Cons: battery with and without anc. Slightly lower mic. I'm using the buds 2 pro and they are good. Battery is a deal breaker for me, I usually watch movies and then sleep with the buds on, so they have to last the whole night, buds2pro cannot do that unlike the buds+.

Ambient is adjustable adjustable under "accessibility" feature and customize sound. Got mine yesterday and returned my Sony linkbuds sto best Buy today, lol. Trade-n of my Galaxy Pro's via Samsung, credit $75. I have noticed Buds2 Pro are way more stable on PC connection vs the Pro's. ANC seems better too as is the fit vs the Pro's. Edit the 360 add more to the sound.

I love the lives, but it constantly disconnects from Bluetooth outside . I now have the Buds 2 disconnects a couple time's but not close to the Live buds. I like the setting that checks to see if it has a good fit. 👍 I actually needed to use the larger cushions. I use that feature every time I do a sweaty workout. They have never fallen out.

I have used the buds live or beans for the past year. Just lost them recently during vacation. I used these for work daily. Got the bigger size bean cap rubber on amazon for like 7 bucks. I work in a 120° F environments for hours at a time while wearing ear muffs off and on. Only time they ever slipped around was when I was excessively sweating. I have even fallen asleep in my bed and woke up with them still on. My only issue with them that have me looking at the Pros is the lack of a ambient sound mode. I consistently wind up pulling them out when people are trying to have conversations with me. Or I turn where my open ear is available if I have one on. Everyone really sales ANC, but I struggle with no one having anything for quick conversations. I wonder how the buds pro 2 work with ambient sound mode. My coworker almost never takes his buds pro out when working and we are stopping him for questions or giving him directions for the job.

To adjust the ambient sound volume and settings on the buds 2 pro. You can do this if you turn on the amplify ambient sound option under ear buds settings/accessibility. When you go back to where your noise canceling/off/ambient sound settings are you will now see below the toggles ambient sound control options. Love the buds 2 pro but the ambient sound IMO are not as good as the buds pro. Overall the buds 2 pro are still my favorite with comparable if not a little better sound and much better fit. Also if you have the buds pros in good shape you can trade them in toward the buds 2 pros. With the trade I paid $90 out of pocket for the buds 2 pro's and got the use out of the buds pros for a couple of years. So pretty good deal!

I have the Buds 2. They fit my ears perfectly, no issues with falling out and are very comfortable. The sound is very good - not "stellar" but pleasant and balanced. Unlike many people, I primarily listen in the transparency mode as I need to be aware of my surroundings and the Buds 2 do fine with that. I may opt for the Buds 2 Pro as they are a similar size to the Buds 2. Aesthetically, I prefer the matte finish and I expect that the sound will be even better than the Buds 2.

Very late reply, but for anyone reading this, I've been using the Buds 2 for almost 2 years now, and they've always had issues staying in my ears unless I'm sitting still. The best way to correct the fit is to just make sure you have some ear tips that fit your ears well. Unfortunately even with good tips, while working out and sweating they would always slip out of my ears, very annoying doing any sets of any workouts.

Buds live are absolutely brilliant!!! There is so much more customisation of sound just by changing the position in your ear. Push them down in horizontal position and you will get plenty bass and decent noise cancellation in cars and planes. Put them in max vertical position and you will get light and very clear sound for walking around taking calls but also have 90% of your natural earing open. You can literally wear these all day and interact with people and have full ambient hearing, which is in fact a very unique and valuable feature. Because they don't shove down you ear canal like the others, they are comfortable. You can wear these for ages. I have often fallen asleep with them in and they are still there in the morning and my ears are not sore. I have never come across any other earphone that does not give significant ear fatigue. With these you can comfortably lie on your side on a pillow or sideways in your seat, which is how much content and music is consumed. These do not fall out my ears unless i am literally wrestling with my kids. I'm sure running or riding a bike would be fine, though I probably wouldn't take them on a rough mtb ride. That being said, all in-ears are subject to your personal fit as ears come in different shapes and sizes. Buds live are great for me. I would by these over and over again! One request is to give them the ambient amplify option like the pros, just for extra so you don't have to reposition them and/or switch off your music if you are in deep loud music state and you want to talk to someone. I love them but I suppose it is horses for courses because in the video they come in last.

Sometimes I think Samsung is schizophrenic with all of the Buds available. Admittedly this isn't a bad thing if you're into their ecosystem. The two sets I've had (as in they died due to shoddy quality) were the Beans and the Buds 2's. When they worked, they worked well with great sound and good fit. I just wish they were more durable.

I have the beans for almost 2 years, and just got the buds 2 pro yesterday which I haven't tested much yet. I actually love the beans due to it being an open ear design and something I can wear for a very long time without feeling any discomfort. You just need time to find the right placing and positioning for it in your ear. (Edit: I got the buds 2 pro because I run a lot and I need the IPX7 rating)

I go with the beans when I need to use it for an extended period due to it's battery life and it doesn't make my ears hurt. As stated on the video, it really depends on the situation. So I carry both of them most of the time. 😊

Buds live fit wont be great but it will save your ear from getting damaged. All the other buds tip goes deep into ear canal which may cause noise induced hearing loss. If you are using it for long time except buds live all the other buds can create pressure in ear which is very uncomfortable. No one really understand the fact that Buds live is designed for comfort during prolonged use.. it sits in a different league.. only gripe is that its difficult to get snug fit and also samsung inorder to release pressure in ear canal they compromised anc little bit.

Buds Live win for me. Fit my ears perfectly. They don't move around at all. I've tried both AirPods and the Buds Pro. Neither of those stay in my ears for more than 10 yards. I love how the Live are so light. Amazon keeps them at $60 year round. I'm prone to ear aches and swimmer's ear so the open design gives me more peace at mind. I need to be able to hear people speak in most of my environments. The open design is very important to me for that reason as well. Just love them.

I want to hear any potential threats around, including possible environmental threats, or a car coming, etc. To this end not only do I love my Buds Live, but I only ever wear one earbud at a time.

Depends on the situation. I agree in general that hearing your surroundings is good and safe, but say you get on a bus for an hour with a loud engine, you may want to turn on ANC to hear everything better while there's nothing to worry about around you

For me personally I don't necessarily need ANC, however it is essential for me to be able to block out certain noises in crowdy spaces (in public transportation, airport, supermarket etc). Too much noise in certain spaces overwhelm me and trigger my (social) anxiety. Apart from that I could never just wear one earbud only as listening to music wouldn't be enjoyable for me that way.

The only time I've ever truly used anc was in a movie theater where the movie was just too damn loud. I think transparency mode is much more useful since it allows you to have conversations with the earbuds in. It's a shame the galaxy buds 2 pro's transparency mode isn't that great. Hopefully Samsung can improve them in a future software update.
