I like the 2016 more, ill try for these but ill be fine if i take an L. I do think they could have made more pairs. They make 500,000 pairs of an ugly color nobody wants but the colorway which is a grail, must cop, nostalgic sneaker for many is crazy limited. Just not sure how it makes sense.

The black and reds do not even look that much different from regular recent 1985 pairs. The leather maybe slightly different and the outsole may have been retooled a bit but def not worth the $$$$ resell. You’re completely right that Jordan Brand is building hype back up for 1s and Jordan’s in general. I’m sure with all that’s slated to retro this year, I wouldn’t be surprised if each of those were released in a lot less quantities than the past few years

I just wish that they would keep this manufactured scarcity to non-OG releases. Black and Red and Chicago 1's should be as available as white or black uptowns, IMO. I never cried about the $250 price tag, but an intentionally limited supply of 10k or 20k in only 23 stores means that 99.9% of these will go directly to flippers. Black and Red (and Chicago) 1's are my favorite shoes ever, but I'm not paying a reseller a penny over retail.
