As a experienced camper, a few tips for sleeping outdoors: 1. Nature is the worst predator of all, always be secure aganist rain, snow and overall moisture first, the colder it is, the warmer you wanna be 2. Human is the apex among apex predators and animals know that. If any animal tries to attack you, it has a good reason to, that is A) it is hungry (make yourself look scarier, like it is not worth it attacking you(or if you cannot, climb up a tree and pray for the bear to go away)), B) you are in its territory or close to its offspring (back away facing the animal, but do not look scared while backing away) C) it is scared (all i can tell you is make distance and noise, if it doesn't run away, it's defending, see B), the easy way to prevent this is making noise while moving, stomping is ideal, as it drives away snakes best, but works fine for the other animals) All of this is a bit from a few things i read here an there, but mostly from my own logic, there are most likely better solutions for these scenarios, this is just what i see logical, so feel free to correct me or add more solutions to other or the same scenarios i wrote here ;)

Next time take a tarp, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, cordage, proper saw (your saw is terrible for cutting woods), knife, lighter, metal container, food, water and headlamp. Prepare your tarp and bed, then use the daylight to collect and process wood. You need dead dry wood for the fire and if it has been raining, you can split it to expose the dry core. Start the fire during the day and keep it going slowly over night. Use disposable ear plugs for the night sounds. Learn how to make lean-to or A-frame shelter with the tarp quickly. You can also make fire reflector from wood.

if you did a hunter class I swear you would have and know what to get and how to use things in the forest for a lifetime. - Basic knolage - Bring at least 2 knives or one really good one with a sharpener. - A tarp - Rope - Survival Straw if you can get one - A water bottle, and bring more water than you think you need - Please bring a backpack - Flint and steel(Modern ones are not flint lol, it's just called flint and steel. Make sure it is long enough and scrape off some of the stuff it coded with when you start a fire because its magnesium, and magnesium burns like crazy) - A Lighter with a bunch of cotton balls soaked with vasilean in a medicine bottle(IT BURNS SO FREAKING LONG) - Flashlight - a mini pot to boil water - a hachet or machetie if possible - Floresent orange bandana - First aid kit - I suggest Benidrill pills or cream, I use it for allergies but it's good to stop your throat from swelling and it helps to sleep and it stops you from itching. - PHONE - mini reflective mirror or thing. - DUCK TAPE - MORE DUCK TAPE, jk one role is enough for at least a week - a book - Shades - Storage container - GPS - SUPER IMPORTANT - A pistol and a flare gun if you want to. - a survival light thing with batteries - When starting a fire get tinder for a fire(NOT THE FREAKING APP) - Camping pillow :D - And a pair of binocilars - Watch primitive technology to get depressed on how bad you are at surviving lol. It's kinda entertaining. That should be about it. Don't forget to content anyone you can before you go hunting hiking out in the forest etc. And tell them where you are going I passed the hunters test with my dad, And I hunt with my dad. It's way harder than you would think. your legs will die lol. Edit: Grammer checking. Ps: You could literally survive a night without anything at all
