Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference: 0:00 - Intro 1. 1:33 {How to Respectfully Correct our Husbands} As a Christian wife, what are some principles I can apply in order to respectfully and lovingly offer my husband correction when needed? 2. 10:27 {Can we Trust what Moses Wrote?} Besides simply “the Bible says so” and biblical figures certifying them, how do we trust revelations that what Moses wrote of others’ lives and/or words (all of Genesis) are things those people actually said/happened? 3. 17:23 {Should I Get Re-Baptized?} If I was baptized as a teen and "messed up" a bunch, even not going to church as I should, should I get re-baptized after "coming to my senses" and trying to live for God again? 4. 21:41 {Responding to Others about Divorce} How do you handle Christians who don’t believe that your divorce was biblical? He was a narcissist/sociopath who convinced them before he died that I was the problem, and my children won’t speak to me. 5. 24:33 {Wisdom for Young Marrieds} Do you have any advice or mistakes to avoid for a young marriage? 6. 31:14 {Struggling with Repeated Sin} There are sins listed in 1 Corinthians 6 that seem to send people to Hell. I struggle often with gluttony and anger. I repent, but I fall back into it often. What’s the difference? 7. 38:41 {How to Interpret Proverbs} Verses in Proverbs often seem like unrelated thoughts. Their vague quality makes it hard to know how to interpret them correctly. How do you determine the context of these verses? 8. 46:10 {Can Christians Work for Secular Businesses?} Should Christians work for businesses that include agendas promoting sin (like Disney)? It has a diverse product but sinful ideas are included. How do we make sure we’re not being unequally yoked in non-marital situations? 9. 50:57 {Should we Command People to be Healed?} Should we command for someone to be healed, or ask God for someone to be healed (Acts 3:6)? Do we have the very same authority of the Apostles to perform miracles (Mark 16: 17-18)? 10. 59:04 {Are the Beatitudes Eschatological?} Can it be said that the Beatitudes are eschatological? I've heard that the word “blessed” can be better translated as “blissful” in them. 11. 1:03:05 {Speaking the Truth in Love - Abortion} How do we discuss abortion in a way that doesn't push people away from the Gospel? Despite being very careful to speak up with gentleness, I'm still getting accused of being hateful, and blocked. 12. 1:05:41 {Bearing with One Another's Conscience} The Bible says to bear with brethren of weaker faith. If instrumental music is a liberty, shouldn’t we bear with those who believe a cappella is the right way and not use instruments? 13. 1:08:13 {About Pastors Purchasing Sermons} What are your thoughts about pastors purchasing sermons and not acknowledging the original author, basically plagiarizing another pastor? It has been a huge problem at our former church. 14. 1:12:46 {Who Were the Spirits in Prison?} Who are the spirits in prison Jesus preached to in 1 Peter 3: 19? 15. 1:17:26 {Is it Sometimes Biblical to Pray for Death?} Is there ever a biblical case to pray for someone to die? Didn't Paul pray for the destruction of some peoples’ flesh for the spirit to be saved in the day of judgment? 16. 1:22:32 {About Medical Marijuana Use} I have an incurable sleep disorder that my Doctor has authorized the use of Marijuana for as it is one of the few things that helps. Should I pray for healing or keep taking this drug that I hate? 17. 1:26:13 {God’s Voice or My Own Thoughts?} How do I differentiate between God's voice and my own intrusive thoughts? 18. 1:32:35 {True Believer but No Life Change?} Is it possible to believe in Jesus yet never have a change of life? My father has cheated and lived with his mistress. he said he believed in Jesus, yet he never came back home to live with his family. 19. 1:35:20 {Do Women Always Need a Male Head?} If there is a Christian adult woman whose father has passed away and she does not have a husband, who is she to be accountable to? 20. 1:38:10 {Symbolism Between the Wine & Jesus?} Was Jesus’ miracle of turning water to wine at Cana meant to be a symbol of how Jesus does not use water to wash us, but uses His blood (wine)?

6) Lukewarm Christians is God’s business. We're to encourage and pray for them to repent as led by the Holy Spirit-scripture. The only person we can be certain of salvation is ourselves not others we're all God’s business. True repentance is one who flees from temptation, it's a 180 degree turn. Focus/dependence on Jesus the Savior for help to overcome in a personal fellowship with Him through His disciplines not focus on self. Sin struggles should draw us closer to God not away from God. Luke 10:27 💝 2 Corinthians 13:5 👑 Philippians 1:6 🛡 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ"

Hey, Mike just wanna say how much God is using you to glorify Himself! You have been a blessing to my family. Recently my wife had been suffering severely with an unknown sickness, I had listed to your suffering sermon many times before and I linked her to those videos. The Lord uplifted her heart and mine during the dark and hopeless times. This all happened a couple weeks ago. Finally got her into a good hospital and learned that she has vasculitus, an auto immune disorder. She almost died, and your videos strengthened her and brought her much joy! I'm expecting her home tomorrow after a week in the hospital. All glory to Him who is able to sustain the weak! Thank you Mike for all you do

I'd say learning to let go of my husband as my primary source of happiness was the most freeing feeling I've ever had in my marriage and the biggest "ah-ha" moment. What an incredibly impossible task to put on your spouse. I love my husband and can't imagine life without him. But he is a fallible human being, just like me, and no matter how much I love him and how much he loves me he will end up hurting me and disappointing me. It's a big step to take but I think it makes all the difference.

@@medicisounds1384 because I love the life we have built together and I love his companionship. I love the history we have. He is my partner and best friend. But I have to realize that he can't always make me happy. I think that's a huge reason why people get divorced today. Once they hit a rough patch or no longer have butterflies for their spouse they must think that they've fallen out of love and that it's time to move on. Love is a choice and loving despite your partners failings is sometimes the hardest choice to make.

Knowing that every trial and hardship in this life will make sense in the end allowed me to be grateful for the things I have in this life even when things are hard. I see my husband as my partner and best friend but as a human he is flawed. Everyone is flawed. No one will make you 100% happy. That was a huge revelation for me. There are soooo many things that have made correcting my husband so hard for so long. I’m still struggling with it so this has been a great help! Biggest struggles for me have been unlearning unhealthy habits and behaviors that come from growing up in an abusive, neglectful home. I never learned appropriate respect. Just fear for authority. I never learned to voice my concerns, thoughts, or feelings. It was always just shut up, and do what you’re told or you’re going to get verbally, emotionally, or physically abused. This had me coming into marriage with all kinds of problems. Problems I didn’t know I had. Fear of man, codependency, low self esteem, which later turned into anger, resentment, passive aggressiveness etc etc. I was immature both in my personal development but also my faith. I didn’t have much life experience, people skills, let alone wisdom and no idea how to go to scripture to get help. Submission felt like tolerating mistreatment, bad morals, and scriptural abuses that came from my spouse who also grew up in an emotionally and verbally abusive home. I started going to social media and find help from online therapists and counselors and while I have had some help from them, the feminism and worldly pursuits they push on women also made things worse for me and my husband and children. Long story short everything has been very confusing for a while and I’ve been miserable but God has started answering prayers and giving me wisdom through Mikes videos and other biblical teachers. Thank you to you and your wife pastor Mike. I know this will help a ton.

@@skippy675 thank you for reading my story and sharing some of yours. It took a while for me to even accept and face and realize that this is how I grew up and these are the the things that make me who I am. I used to hate myself because I felt so inadequate and ashamed because of all of the things that came from the way I was raised. But God has made my past into a beautiful story now and I’m glad I went through all that I did. I feel bad for you to hear that your mom sheltered you socially and emotionally. I grew up that way too. All my caregivers growing up were either just ignorant, scared, or wanted to protect me from tough questions, doubt, and pain growing up. But that’s not how God tells us to live. He tells us to live in the world with worldly people, to be a part of it, have experience in it but not to be like the world and it’s people. It’s actually GOOD to face those tough questions and doubt because it shows we are critically thinking about truth. The Bible even says to count those trials as joy- even though they can seem miserable in the beginning, they can bring great joy and blessings once we pass each test. And I think that’s where a lot of peoples parents failed in raising people like us. Without knowing+deeply understanding ourselves and others, socially and emotionally, it makes it really hard to understand anything about the world and the Bible whatsoever because it disconnects us from understanding reality and being self aware and critically thinking. God made reality and He made people and we are meant to be very knowledgeable about those things in order to understand and know Him.
@mamajo5867
@mamajo5867 2 жыл бұрын
@@skippy675and I think it was a good thing that you left your “Christian” upbringing because I don’t think it sounds very Christian at all. The Gospel means good news and a miserable life is not good news. Gods good news does promise trials but even more than that, it also promises joy and blessings which are waaaayyy better than the circumstantial happiness that you talk about. If you just look up Bible verses about Joy you will see there are a ton. But you can’t have that joy until you experience why you need that joy in the first place. You can’t just have ignorant, impersonal head knowledge. That’s not the kind of loving relationship God calls us to have with Him. You have to have a need for Him in your heart. You have to want God, want to be good and want to escape your sin and know through experience how much of a sinner you are and how hopeless you are without Christ. And if anything, I think if you stayed and adopted your moms worldview, it would actually be keeping you further from knowing who God really is and the plan He has for you. The Christian life does promise trials and pain because it calls us to die to ourselves daily(to cut off diseased, sinful, and destructive parts of us) and pick up our cross. And when we do that it promises joy and freedom and hope and peace that that surpasses all human understanding. I’ve experienced this. And it’s true. But we can only get it by trusting God and doing things His way and knowing Him. Often times people try to follow a Christian life style without understanding or knowing who Christ is or what he actually did for them. They say they believe with their mouths but in their hearts and minds, they don’t. They are strangers to God and His law because they are sinners and it’s miserable work for sinners to try and follow rules w/o a relationship. So they are miserable and end up leaving a faith they thought was Christianity. I think you left a false worldview you thought was Christianity. And I think it’s good. I hope that you can one day come to understanding what true Christianity is about. I think Mike Winger here is a great person to watch on understanding the true gospel message.

Mike, what you said about pastors buying sermons was spot on! It’s one thing to use things that you learn from others, but it is something else to repeat exactly what someone else came up with and not give credit.

One assumes anyone who gives a speech/sermon is sharing his/her own thoughts and knowledge. To use another's work without giving credit is deceitful and dishonest at the least. One the other hand, doing so while giving credit to the author is another matter. We routinely use study series and study guides to teach from, which is not too different from giving a purchased sermon. In both cases the teacher should know the material and be able to answer questions about the content.

Excellent advice! I totally concur! By God‘s Good Grace we’ve been married 43 years!We were married 18 yrs before I surrendered my life to Christ. Not our best years, but God has redeemed even those,in that,He has healed the old wounds we inflicted on each other and our kids who inevitably witnessed our failings! The Majesty of His Grace is so evident that even our girls refer to those years as the BC days!🤣And they have successfully navigated their marriages,in part, because of the example of our own redemptive one! Since I wasn’t raised in The Way, I had no idea how to submit myself to my husband & he didn’t want to be “The Boss”!(🤣Just to show how out of our element we Were!)But God…! He has walked us through our Journey of Healing& Redemption! It wasn’t a Bam! you’re done thing but a process,little by little! The key here, is Submitting your will to God! He enables us to do handle the changes He brings to Light! At 43 years , I can say, we’re still a work in process, in progress! And just like today, I believe Jesus has led us to your program! Helping us with these nuggets of Godly Wisdom to bring about further changes in our lives! Thanks you guys for allowing God to Work through you to help us all! If I may add to the take away, keep being teachable, humble yourself so you can affect Change! Don’t get discouraged if you’re not there yet! It’s a Process, it takes time! Above all communicate with each other & with God! David & I pray individually And Together! There is Power in the Prayer of Agreement, Corporately!!Especially since it keeps you both on the ‘same page’! It’s both of ours marriage! We entered into it together, we should work on it the same way! Believe me, I’ve shared this with my husband,David, today! God Bless you & Sustain you in every area of your lives, in Jesus’Name,Amen!🙏✝️🌈🦋!!!

I want to thank you for these teachings. Even two years after this video was posted it has helped me reframe. I know it’s God working through you. Your whole segment about intrusive thoughts freed me from paranoid thinking. I was under the assumption if I ignore a random thought I MIGHT think is God, it would be considered hesitancy to obedience. I can now look at the moments where I’m sure God spoke to me and many that I wasn’t sure on. Going back to having biblical evidence helped me reframe that mindset entirely and I know feel so much less anxious about disobeying an intrusive thought. Thank you so much for you ministry! I came to faith and as an Anglican was confirmed I saw that as taking up responsibility for my faith and making a public declaration I prayed and was prayed for and feel happy as part of the wider church. I understand that some traditions might require another baptism but I don’t . I have been a committed Christian for 30’years . I absolutely delight in seeing others come to faith and we are having some full dunking baptisms in Our church Easter Sunday.

The healing one was so good to hear and get clarity on. I used to be in a charismatic church, though I'm not anymore. I have seen real damage done from well-meaning Christians who "command" healing, but don't listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I used to be a missionary with YWAM in Brazil and while there I met a leader and read her book, who had adopted a three-year-old girl who was deaf and had been abandoned in the street by her family. A man who had been uniquely called to pray for deaf people was visiting, and this leader took her daughter to visit him at a gathering for him to pray for her to be healed. She said he placed his hands on her ears, paused as if listening for a moment, then moved his hand to her heart and began to pray. He said that the Holy Spirit was leading him to pray for healing for her heart because of the continued trauma her abandonment had caused. The leader said after this, her daughter changed drastically, she later gave her life to the Lord and led a ministry for deaf children. I got to visit that ministry and volunteer and see how amazingly God has used this woman who is deaf to reach out to and love children in poor communities who are often neglected by their families because of their disability. I still think of that story whenever I pray for someone, and remember to pray for God's will first and try to be sensitive to where He is leading.

So the waiting until you’re not frustrated thing about correcting your husbands. I think this is good, but the other thing I try to do (especially with my kids) is correct before I’m frustrated. This applies really well to kids because they do repetitive annoying behaviors. Correct the behavior before it’s annoyed you to frustration. A bit different with a spouse probably (depending), but especially with kids if you can correct before your emotions are running high, it’s a really good thing.

When I discovered several years ago that our pastors bought sermons online on a regular basis I was completely flabbergasted. My entire life I thought a pastor’s job throughout the week was to read the Bible, seek wisdom for the Holy Spirit, and through that prepare a message for the flock on Sunday morning. I couldn’t believe it!! And much to my dismay when I started researching it I found that many Christians see nothing at all wrong with this. I then started searching for sermons online and could not believe the number of cites out there dedicated to handing off Sunday morning sermons, many even had sermons divided up by denominations!!! My husband and I grew very disheartened with our church but found that so many churches in our area were doing the same thing. I just don’t understand. We tithed partly as a means of paying the salary of our pastors so that they could shepherd the flock. But that is not what they were doing. We are still searching for a place to fellowship with solid biblical teaching. I appreciate you so much Pastor Mike for all the time you spend studying, and bringing us biblical Truth. Thank you

Did the pastors at least spend time ministering to the congregation? I have mixed feelings on this. 1. They should disclose this practice if they are. 2. They need to study the passage and the sermon to make it their own and not parroting word for word. 3. Whether or not they're doing this, the Pastor should be spending tim counseling, praying for, visiting, and performing basic ministry with the congregation...or in charge of delegating these tasks. 4. The Pastor needs to also be out speeading the Gospel with his congregants in the church's geographical location.

The way you feel about pastors using purchased sermons (and I wholeheartedly agree), is the same way I feel about women's Bible studies teaching from a purchased topical book. Every single one of them I've attended didn't teach the Bible, but the beliefs (spin) of the author. She'd have you read select verses (some very dodgy) to lead you down that path. This is not Bible study. Bible study is reading the Bible to learn what God teaches. NOT the same thing.

For question 6, I believe a good indicator that someone is legitimately saved yet like every other believer struggles against sin and even sinful habits, is there reaction to their condition. If they are remorseful and want God to change and work in them then that is consistent with a Godly lifestyle, knowing that God is a faithful father. Those that look at their condition and just go “well it’s ok cause I’m saved so I can do whatever I want” is a good sign that someone may be a false convert

I love this presentation of correcting your husband. I would note that it’s similar to yelling at your children. Yelling is going to happen during child rearing but it should only be for things that are so important that they need to be addressed immediately. If we yell about everything it loses its effectiveness. Thank you Mike for your insightfulness and thank you Allison for your comments. Love you guys.

Yes and if we continue reading Paul talks about walking in the spirit. Glory to God. It is key to understanding Romans 7 if we read it in context. Paul just like us needed a Savior who saved him from his struggles in the flesh. Jesus freed him just like he can free us. Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

I think you're totally right about preaching someone else's sermon UNLESS you let your congregation know this is so-and-so's sermon, so they know that someone else is giving them the lesson that day. I think you provided a great test of leadership in that position. Surely any lay-person, including a woman, or any child who can read, could get up and preach that sermon, and why not? I, as a lay-person, can get up and give the Bible reading in my church, why not someone else's sermon? But a pastor must meet greater standards. Also, thank your wife from me for her contribution to the answers today, so glad to hear from her; I really appreciated both her advice, and yours regarding young marriage.

Mike your first question you answered about correction is a real issue in marriage today. Given the media position of right and wrong we have all inherited a somewhat self righteous way of “correction”. Your points were well stated and understandable. I would only make a single point, the word correction implies that one person has the right belief to lien on in correcting. I use an axiom to help me follow a Acts version of ironing out differences. God “corrects” “I” fellowship. Fellowship would mean that i must answer my own “feelings” with scripture, then and only then can i fellowship with my spouse around the scripture. The source of most “behaviors” is what we believe to be good. In the moment of Eve and the Serpent, Eve thought it was good to eat of the tree. Thanks for all that you do in helping us walk through our crazy questions.

On question 13, this is the first I've ever heard of someone buying a sermon that's just crazy to me. I think it's fair to borrow analogies people make, I find it's a particularly good teaching tool. On the other hand I admit I will get inspired to look into something, and make a sermon about it, because of a commentary or something like this where you're answering questions. I think our sentiments on the issue are at the very least similar if not essentially the same. As always great work and thanks for spreading this knowledge and insight.

Mike. I really enjoyed this video. Especially liked that you regard your wife and her outlook on things so highly. Marriage is a 100/100 commitment for believers. Having said that, if we read 1 Co 6 beginning in v 9, it is talking about the unrighteous. We are never called unrighteous after we accept Christ, as is spelled out for us in Rom 6 really clearly. I also am not sure about someone who's involved in a blatantly sinful lifestyle with no thought of repentance. James says that we all stumble in many ways. I am glad Jesus looks at our hearts. If we have a new obedient heart, my belief is the fruit of the Spirit will be evident. Thank you so much for these Q&As. God bless ❤️📖

I'm sorry I missed the QA, because there is such an important nuance here at the question of Repeated Sin and 1 Cor 6. If you are calling yourself Christian and still doing these things, then you have not been changed by God. You may believe you are saved. You may have a head knowledge of Jesus and who he is and what he means to you, but you still love the world more than you love your Father. You have not accepted your inheritance. Because accepting the saving grace of God is accepting the Holy Spirit into you and allowing it to change you from the inside. Just as Mike described in how he dealt with anger in his early marriage. How he wanted so badly to drive away, but didn't, and over time he lost the desire to altogether. It's the same. You will desire sin, but you will pray to your Father for strength, and if you love him more than the world, you will persevere, and eventually the desires will lessen as your love for God grows. You won't be perfect, but you must strive. If you struggle with these desires, then fast Biblically until God has taught you self control. And you have learned to lean on him first in all temptation. Study the meaning of prayer and how to speak to your Father. He will help you. He loves you. You must also love him.

Since God is over my husband and I’m close to God, I don’t correct my husband, instead I turn to God and ask Him to intervene. I’m actually quite shocked how often God decides to intervene and correct me instead, lol. Honestly though, I like when God corrects me because I like any attention He gives me. Over time I’ve actually just settled into trusting God to take care of me and trusting God with my husband as well. Jesus has walked me through so many trials that I don’t even worry anymore. One time all the money in both our bank accounts vanished overnight! If I was younger I’d be stressed and crying and...probably turn into a brat. But I had gotten so used to walking through life with God that I just shrugged and looked up. God knew the moment the money was going to vanish, He knew long before actually, and already had a plan. I had already learned to be content in any situation. I had already learned that everything I owned as well as my home wasn’t really mine, just on loan from above and sometimes God takes something away so He can give me something else. Since I was calm, my husband stayed calm too, and we walked through it. The blessing was waiting when it was over. Felt like a final exam or something when I look back. Our kids never even knew it happened.

@Mike Winger, I've been offered to write sermons for churches. I think that writing sermons is bad, but prepping biblical information is good. We do that anyways on our own, digging through commentaries and journals. Not all pastors have an understanding of the original languages or even the history of the 1st century. Some pastors don't have an understanding of Church history and the formations of our Doctrines and Theology. So, with that, I am happy to help.

#13 I once heard a message from our associate pastor that was uncharacteristically good. Everyone was going up to him after church-including me-and saying “great message!” He politely said thank you, in the typical way. Later that week I saw that same message delivered on KZbin by someone else, complete with a personal story in the same place that our pastor had told a personal story for illustration. The story was slightly different, with different names. Turns out, this was uploaded long before our in-house sermon. Next time I saw him, I joked with him, ever heard of [name of online preacher]? He said “Hey, I never said that was my original message. It was good content, and I thought it would help people. It did, too.” I had to admit that it did. But I’m still wondering how much help people would get from him putting in his own time, instead of reproducing the content of another. In any case, he certainly presented it as his own, and people could be offended if they saw that it was not. I definitely felt it was a bad example and poor conduct. Incidentally, he left the ministry and now sells insurance.

For question 2 I always focus on the Jesus because, like you said he's at the center of it. Plus Jesus references the events in Genesis and there are plenty of extra biblical and even secular references to Jesus life and death on a cross. And references about how this "new" religion, based on the resurrection of Jesus, quickly spread throughout the rest of the world. Age of information though we can Google a question and find the correct answer. Love your content, God bless you and your family

I've struggled with porn use since I was 11 years old. I'll be 29 this year. I got saved at 19 and this struggle plagues my mind and body. I HATE my sin and for a long time I was so ashamed to even speak about it. I'm more open about my struggle now, but I do get terrified that because I keep struggling with it, I'm not saved and therefore condemned, despite having a very different lifestyle and worldview than I did before I was saved. What if I never overcome this issue? Am I just damned to Hell then? I repent and rebuke this wickedness after the act occurs. I surrender it to God and pick up my cross and keep going, trusting in what He's done for me. Sometimes I stop myself in my tracks before the sin begins, but sometimes I don't. I've done a lot to battle this wickedness. I have Covenant Eyes with an accountability partner on my laptop and phone, but I still fall into the sin sometimes. I grew up in a household where we were raised to think that sins of omission are signs of unrepentance, i.e., not doing what you should when you're able to do so. Thus, because I don't do what I should when I am able in regards to fleeing from sexual sin, I am therefore committing a sin of omission, which is a sign of unrepentance, a lack of care towards your sin, or me giving into wickedness and not fighting back like I should. Essentially, BECAUSE I don't do all that I should, I'm giving off an attitude of "I don't care" about my sin, thus I'm not repentant of it. Is this even biblical or true? I definitely care about the sins I make and I KNOW sin is wrong. My flesh may enjoy wicked things in the moment because emotions override reason a lot of the time, but that is not an excuse to sit and say that those things are suddenly okay because porn use is never okay. In my mind, I KNOW they are wrong. Thoughts?

Sins of omission being a sign of unrepentance: I imagine the line of thought that would get someone to that conclusion is rooted in Hebrews 10:26, "For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins..." That verse has been cited to communicate the thought that salvation can be lost OR cited as a warning that if you sin on purpose your salvation might not have been genuine, OR (in your case) that not doing what you know you could do to prevent sin could be a sign of lacking salvation or false repentance. HOWEVER, I perceive major flaws in that line-of-thought if that is indeed where the idea may have originated from. Every single Christian does "sins of omission." God always gives a Christian a way out of sinning and an alternative path forward, but we still sin every day, and we sin knowingly. So there are two possibilities from here: 1. What you were taught was intended to be heard as "temporary repentance." 2. What you were taught was intended to be heard as "salvation repentance." Temporary repentance would be like, "You knocked my glass off the table three times, so I don't believe your apology anymore," which can lead to a healthy pause to re-evaluate if our apologies were genuine and to slow down and figure out what's going wrong. HOWEVER, I have an inkling that you and I have a similar, more-sensitive disposition in which apologies are always genuine, so this type of mental framework is gut-wrenching. For someone with a disagreeable temperament it can be a check in place, but because you struggle with guilt it's just a burden. It's not a biblical tenant that sinning even when you know it's wrong means you were never sorry before. That's something someone with a specific personality came up with that benefited them and helped them not be conniving about their sin or lie to themselves about their sin, no more. Certain personalities would benefit from that kind of check, but not all, so don't be burdened by a check that's not instructed in the Bible. Salvation repentance would be like, "Because you keep sinning even though you know it's wrong, it's highly likely you were never saved to begin with." Mike Winger has videos about Once-Saved-Always-Saved debates, which I'd recommend you check out if this is the impression you have. I'm running out of free time to type this out otherwise I'd try to give you more info here. IDK if any of this has been helpful, but you've put steps in place to help deter you, and you know that you're addicted, but if you haven't thought about considering your emotional state and why the addiction is fed on that dimension you might be able to acrew more resources and options of other things you can do that work to relieve any emotional pressure that drives you toward porn so that the only major drive is psychological and physiological. Also, if you haven't seen John Doyle's anti porn dissertation video on KZbin I can't recommend it strongly enough. It provides so many answers about how the addiction works, why it feels akin to trying to quit hard drugs, and puts things very bluntly. It is a sin to sin, but sinning isn't the unforgivable sin. I know at some point Mike Winger has talked about unhealthy guilt and when we overburden ourselves. I don't have time to find the specific video(s) where he references it right now, but it was helpful for me. I still overburden myself with guilt because I'm neurotic, but knowing that I'm oppressing myself and the condemnation isn't from God helps shorten the cycles of my overactive guilt. I hope something I said helps. Don't get discouraged. You can post your question on the Bible Thinker Facebook page or send it over his website if you want another chance of Mike seeing it

So it’s ok to correct Jesus? “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.” (Eph 5:22-24, KJV) What happened to winning your husband over with your good behavior? “Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.” (1Pe 3:1-2, KJV)

I have a pretty different view on baptism. You cannot lose the promise of transformation through your baptism. The action of baptism is God's action, not your action and through God's action you are transformed. It has nothing to do with your choice, but everything to do with God's action on you. So by getting baptized again, you are saying you don't trust God's action.
