Michigan Transfer Mikey Keene is coming to Michigan to likely be the bridge quarterback for Bryce Underwood. I compiled his highlights from the 2024 to get a look at what Michigan's offense will look like next year. Keene has a lot of upside. He has a decent arm, he can run the play action quite well, and most importantly, he seems very confident in his throws. I'm excited for Mikey to wear the Maize and Blue next year!

He knows chips offense. So he can help Bryce learn faster. He’s accurate and can make plays with his feet he at least can bring us back To a 9 -10 win team again.

Well, the guy is actually rated higher by Pro Football Focus than Miller Moss and a lot of other QB's Michigan was after in the portal. He might not be very tall and he might not run a 4.5 forty, but he can complete passes downfield. He has over 8,000 yards and 65 TD's on his career. Davis Warren was on pace for roughly 2,400 yards and 12 TD's with about 25 INT's on his career if he were to remain the starter.

Not winning the Big 10 like this and I don't think the staff sees it as a possibility or they would've gone and got pieces to make that happen. 2 years away 🤷

He doesn’t have the strongest arm out there but he sees the field really well, goes through his reads, feels the pocket well, and most importantly he plays with confidence. He wasn’t lighting up the portal but I think he’s going to surprise Michigan fans if he is the starter this year.

Mikey Keene has at least 7,000 more passing yards than any other QB's on Michigan's roster. He'll bring stability to the room and help Bryce Underwood learn to play the position better.

I like this guy, he’s a gamer. He’s not the ideal height for a QB, but he can throw and move. Nice pickup for Michigan.

This guys has never had an Oline a run game a defense or a kicking game… give him these upgrades and he will go into Norman and Lincoln and imo give Michigan a legit chance to win.. that’s why they brought a bridge guy in a barley 18 year old idc how great potential can’t go into those hostile environments first time ever and do well.. Bryce needs time to gel

At worst he is a high quality backup in case Underwood ever gets hurt. At best he gives you a guy who can keep the chains moving and play complimentary football. Win with ball control, run game, defense, and a few timely pass plays which has worked for Michigan before. With our schedule, if we beat Oklahoma (which should be slightly better due to getting a better QB this year) than we should be undefeated going into OSU week regardless of which player starts at QB. Keene is the floor play. It raises the floor of our QB room. He is not the upside play though. That’s Bryce or even Jayden.

Quality of competition makes it look better than realty. Maybe, but not a sure thing to start. See if he can be coached up with new OC.

He showed that he can move the chains against a tough defense like Michigan with pieces not on the level of Michigan. He will be more comfortable and has played enough big teams to carry the experience.

He is making decisions / throws none of our guys did last year so I’ll take it obviously. To be picky I don’t love it and the arm strength looks up and down. I can see why he throws picks with some of those decisions and throws. None of the guys want to battle with Bryce and he did so. It is what it is. He is our guy and I hope he is lights out. We need to get him a damn o line.

Im jist imagining what Keene can do now that hell have time in the pocket. Kid could be a problem. However i think Davis might be next up. There has ti be a reason we didnt see hin this year and i truly believe hes a sleeping giant. Hard to keep Bruye out if he pans out to be who we think he is. I love this problem. Iron sharpens iron and whiever wins QB1 is gonna be well earned 〽️💪🏽 Time to work boys team 146 and 147 gonna make waves 10000%

Based upon his lack of playing against a power 4 conference, he looks average which is a little better than what we currently have in the Wolverines. It will definitely be a faster game for him playing in the Big Ten. As long as he develops his mechanics and fundamentals he should be ok, but we have seen what the latest transfer QBs have brought to Michigan in the past....it ain't good on average.

First throw he didn’t lead the WR far enough, 2nd was decent but a bit behind, 3rd the receiver had to leave his feet to make the catch

The guy has 1170 career pass attempts with a 67.8 career completion percentage. That is quite a sample right there! Are you telling me his receivers did all the work in that?

@Monmorrangr cade was serviceable as well! Michigan doesn't need keene to put up joe burrow numbers just manage the games! He will have to make a throw here and there and I'm confident he can!

He'll probably be mildly better but this team won't compete for anything next season. I think they're saving their money for Underwood's second year. This is not how a program that wants to make a playoff run NOW operates, so I won't expect anything until year 3 of Sherrone. Wouldn't be surprised if we inexplicably go 8-4.

There is two games.. Oklahoma and OSU.. and it’s in Ann Arbor.. he’s never had an Oline a run game or a kicker hitting from damn near 60… Michigan is 3-5 portal patch pieces away.. and with the quarterfinals teams granted 5 extra days to jump into portal then you are delusional not to think so

I think msu beats you guys too, you see what Smith is putting together, they obviously now got the better team and coaches hands down, I'm telling you Smith is gonna be dantonio on steroids come soon! With talent even or even more on msu side, they always win even with less!

He's the perfect QB given UM's situation. His stats are literally twice as good as Warren's last year (I thank Warren for a couple of big throws vs Ohio).

Bro I can tell you weren’t a D1 athlete.. I was a wrestled at Iowa state.. idc how great Bryce potential is.. he’s still only 17 and not 18 until next August.. you honestly think an 18 year old kid never playing college ball and go into Norman week2 Lincoln week3 USC like week6 and go into East Lansing and not struggle.. he needs a JJ/Tebow type year where he comes in certain situations and prove he can make positive plays.. once he has the speed of the game and the offense scheme down he will then take over.. even college baseball players don’t just jump right into the show.. you have to be a little more realistic.. that’s why ncaa has redshirts..

@@VictorsVisionUM this is exactly the deal, and I'm hoping Keene knows it is a win-win if he is looking to up his draft stock by playing here while transitioning/mentoring Underwood into the starter.
