@@sopperyouxd1525 that sucks really. It's like some people just have the best luck and get blessed not having to work for what they got(not saying Mikey doesn't work for his skill). But I was born with very few fast twitch muscle fibers and I had to literally just my ass inorder to get up to the rim and just grow any muscle in general while people like Mikey are gifted. Unfair but I work hard(again not saying Mikey doesn't)

Im 5’7 and I do all of these workouts. I could only hang onto rim with both hands. These workouts will you give bounce. The issue with me however is that it took me 2 years to get up because I am inconsistent and I slack alot. The most I could do so far is throw an alley down. I have trouble going up with the ball on my own. And still am to this day so I havent put that ball in yet by myself. I would workout out a month and relax for like 2 weeks or a family issue would interfere with my consistency. Heres my tip for everyone trying to do this: Give it 3 months of consistent training and you’ll have crazy hops. Work on landing to avoid injury. Dont pull a leg muscle. It will ruin your routine. If you do pull a muscle it will take about 1-2 weeks to FULLY recover. 1 week of not working out can make your legs lazy and as a result you’ll lose some hops. So dont slack for too long. Edit- March 10 2022, im grazing it. Im still 5’7 1/4. Edit: September 4th 2023, im still grazing. Somewhere around or under 5’8. Too busy working overtime and doing college. But my bounce is still there every time I come back to hoop. The workouts add a little more “airness” whenever I resume them.

This is just unfair man. Obviously Mikey works hard but some people are just blessed. My 6'2 mate doesn't even workout, all he does is play games on Saturday and go to training. Literally, nothing else and he has a 44 inch vert. Meanwhile I've been sprinting, doing box jumps, depth jumps, doing vertical specific movements and I've been playing ball my whole life and still can't match him. Some people are just blessed. Getting sick and tired of this shit.

You have to be athletic and practice and be tall the less you have of one the more you need of the others basically that’s literally how it is Edit: thanks for 100+ likes, it appears that since I commented this I started a mini toxic war lmaooo

Height has nothing to do with bounce
@berleezysglasses36194 жыл бұрын
Everyone used to call me unathletic and slow and I worked my ass off now everyone says it’s natural and genetics. Just stfu and go work stop making excuses. I never thought I’d dunk now I’m doin eastbays, windmills and 360s. Plus jumping was never my main priority it was basketball
@memesandbasketball10414 жыл бұрын
Berleezys Glasses I literally said the less you have of one the more you need of others which means you’re f you have less athleticism you need more practice as I stated read before you put your motivational sob story
@memesandbasketball10414 жыл бұрын
Berleezys Glasses no but it it’s a factor in dunking and indicates a larger wingspan to thus the more height you have the less athleticism you need because inches and wingspan add up
@memesandbasketball10414 жыл бұрын
Isaiah Cagle how many omg I’m tired of saying this read my comment I literally said the more of one you have the less of the other you need. More athleticism = less height more height means less athleticism. More practice means gain of athleticism less need for height and so on and so forth. Also being 5”9 and dunking is extremely rare what friends are these I mean I know flight is flight but he’s 7 inches taller and can’t dunk. Most 6 footers can’t either. Hope this comment allows you to understand my original statement

If you wanna get bounce you gotta stretch your hip flexors and Achilles. Also, try fixing your posture. Strengthen your gluteus Maximus, gluteus Medius, strengthen the hip adductor, abductor, calves, soleus, anterior tibialis, the feet, the core (including the Serratus Anterior, Transverse Abdominis, and do anti-extension, anti-rotation, and anti-flexion work) and strengthen the rest of the body. Also, do Plyometrics start with hops then progress to jumps, then progress to bounds. Also, train for power because some of you guys just do squats which could be turn into a power movements, do some kettle bell swings. And finally, work on your jump mechanics.
