Tx for stopping in my neighborhood, South Ft Myers. Fan of yours but not a fan of fast foods but now might try Popeyes. Not surprised Subway was a bust. Never understood their popularity at all. Maybe because I had lived in Philadelphia and south Jersey for four years where the subs are absolutely insane. I literally have eaten at Subway. Three times in 25 years each time out of my control. Barely edible food each and every time. Remember distinctly eating there in May 1990 the day I moved into FM. Got here at 8 o’clock at night, didn’t know our way around and spotted a subway. Figured we’d give it a shot. Disgusting. Coming from Philly. They had a cheesesteak on the menu. I ordered it. I knew I WAS in trouble when the guy reached under the counter, grabbed a little 6 ounce Styrofoam cup and stuck it in the microwave. He then proceeded to pour the cheese steak out of that onto a cold bun. 🤮Never knew how they stayed in business. Anyway, you were probably within a mile of my house for a couple of hours. So welcome. Hope you enjoyed your stay in our area. I’m actually not surprised that you decided to just go to fast food. Restaurants is our pickings are slim here for good restaurants. Everything is a chain. In fact, I’m so disgusted with the dining out Options here that I called Fort Myers “the land of the chains”. I wish you could’ve turned me onto some hidden gem here that I have been able to find in 35 years. Oh well, other than Culver’s, once every month or two, I guess I’ll be eating home. Love your content. Sorry I didn’t see while you were out there.

To all of my fellow migraine individuals out there, just want to let you know that the footlong cookie tasted good at first. But after a few bites in, a heavy artificicial flavor took over. It triggered a migraine for me and my husband ended up having digestive issues after the cookie. This is also why I stayed away from the churro at subway. Heard it had a heavy artificial butter flavoring.

I've had several hits and misses with the pretzel at Subway. One time got it, and it was amazing, soft, fluffy, and warm. Next time, its like the pretzel was sitting out for hours and stale. Then the most recent time, super soft, fluffy, and warm. There are too many variables that can impact the quality of the pretzel before you get it.

I’m going to have to disagree with you about Zaxby’s vs. Cane’s. The Zaxby Sauce is awesome - I buy extra to dip my fries and Texas toast in it. Unfortunately, it’s a rare treat for me as there isn’t one in my town, so it’s at least 45 minutes to an hour away. The nearest Cane’s is about 15 minutes closer, but I’ll drive the distance to Zaxby’s.

Yeah, the Subway here over microwaves all the sidekicks and they end up chewy as hell...the churro and cookie usually aren't too bad here. The Taco Bell Cheese it tostada thing is my fave! I wish they would bring back the taco salad, but use the cheese it as a shell. The flavor is awesome!

Popeyes Buffet in Huntsville, Alabama made Peach Cobbler that was really good. I did not know there was another buffet. I told hubby and he did not know either and said if he had known we would have moved there just to be able to eat there. We live far from there now. I like the ketchup & mayo mixture sauce. We grew up eating that for salad dressing so I like it with chicken tenders. Oh, and someone said Zaxby's Taco's are pretty good. Love your channel.

I just never get good chicken sandwiches from Popeyes. They're always incredibly dry 😢 Jollibee has my favourite chicken sandwich. I just don't find any spicy chicken sandwiches from restaurants ACTUALLY spicy; props to Wendy's for making the actual chicken spicy and not just throwing a spicy mayo on it though. I'm allergic to peanuts so I avoid chickfila but most people I know say they're the best.

You should try Lamattas for the best italian in fort myers. Also best ice cream in town is right down the road from there called the Love Boat. I could go on, I hope you get to check these places out. I would advise Hickory Bbq but I think they closed down.
