Hi Mikey! I am a singaporean fan. I will let you know everything you need to know! 1) Singapore airport is mostly clean. When the opening of Terminal 4 (aka T4) they will use robot Cleaners to clean the airport, so the Cleaners will just clean T1,2 and 3 2)Merlion, why is it a fish and a lion? Well Singapore was a fishing village, The first ever person to go in the "fishing village" saw a his/her first animal there, it was a lion! Ever since that animal had its story from a man. 3) Want a splashiful weekend? Go to Adventure cove! (At Sentosa). Want to go on a high walk adventure? Go along and get your body to forest adventure (Hasn't confirmed the place) Thank you for taking your time reading this :)

Singapore Int'l has been argued to be (by many) th best airport in the world. I haven't been to every airport in the world, but I can tell you it's the best one I've been to. The place is almost worthy as an attraction unto itself.

I fly Singapore Airlines a lot. The trick to good food is to always pick the Asian or Indian dish. Way better than the Western options in my opinion. With premium economy, use Book The Cook if you don't want to risk the onboard menu. I used it recently on my trip to/from London but I wouldn't mind ordering off the menu if I hadn't bothered with BTC.

Off to Singapore on 1st October from Manchester in UK. Flying for the very 1st time in Business. There is a direct flight from Man-Sin with SIA on an A350 but it is so expensive! I did consider the SIA PE but so glad that I didn't opt for it now. Flying Finnair via Helsinki on their A350 Business. Check out Turkish Airlines. Their business class would have cost only a little more than SIA PE, but I wanted to fly on A350 so went for Finnair.

I am staying for 1 night in airport hotel before flying Scoot to Perth for 5 nights then sailing back to Singapore. Arriving 20th Oct for 3 nights...last night in the Fullerton....to me the most beautiful hotel in the world! Had to spend one night in there, but it is my 50th birthday haha :-)

As a Singaporean I can't totally agree. We have one of the highest paced lifestyle, along with one of the most stressful work environments, contributing to the fact as to why we have the best economy in Southeast Asia. Cancer and disease rates have been increasing too and our healthcare is still very expensive, relative to our income and living standards. It's not easy to be a Singaporean, we have to work very hard. But I'm not complaining as we know that we are able to achieve high living standards as long as we are willing to work hard and with proper financial planning! *Yes we do have trees and greens everywhere! In fact I'm looking at a bunch of them out my window now :)* Do visit us soon!

Mikey.. At 16.02minutes, that place you see many people eating, I had their seafood fried rice. One of the best I had in my life in Singapore. IT WAS RIGHT AT YOUR DOORSTEP. What a waste you didn't try. There's also a legendary hawker centre within walking distance of your hotel.

SQ does have one of the best Business class in the world and I do dare say the top of SEA. Premium economy isn't bad and SQ's economy was good and on par with Japan Airline that I have taken. These 2 are considered the best for me. Some of these companies have one of the best Business Class service and food is: Etihad Qatar ANA Korean Air Singapore Airlines Emirates (BEST OF ALL AIRLINE COMPANY) France Air British Airways

If you do travel to Singapore again I always go to Frankfurt Germany in Singapore Airlines for a one hour pit stop. I THEN RE TAKE OFF IN Singapore airlines and from Frankfurt to Singapore it is a direct flight so I find that easier.

Will be leaving again to go back to the philippines in a week and will be of course flying with Eva. SIA flight service are THE BEST but the FOOD in Economy . . . erm . . .erm. . . .is a hit and miss! I myself experienced a Singapore to New York flight with a brief stopover at Frankfurt - a 23 hour flight - the food was overall 50=50 in terms of quality but the service was divine. . . very attentive and the crew goes out of their way to make you comfortable . . .

Next time if you fly SQ premium economy again go for 'Book a cook' try out Asian local meals like Nasi Lemak, roasted chicken rice, Nasi Biryani etcs definitely better than the chicken spaghetti! A very important note: all coffee should be filtered it protects us from the chemicals in coffee that gives us high blood pressure. Note: those mini plastic or metal coffee packages for single cups of coffee does not have any paper filters along with them. Note again; it is very important for us to have filtered cup of coffee. If you can, try Qatar's business class on their A350, it was amaaazing sooo quiet. Was only able to do DOHA-SIN leg on my AMS-SIN trip. But was worth it to experience at least once. Love Singapore!! Hope u had fun!

Hi Mikey, as I have flown Singapore Airlines for quite some time now, always look for newer planes such as A350 or the 787. The premium economy seats are much better than those in the 777.

From my (very limited) experience with Singapore Airlines, they never provided slippers so to me not having slippers is totally fine, but again very limited experience with flying airlines in general. Also, Singapore is actually humid if the internet has never mentioned in some place or another, to us 30°C is the norm temperature.
