Mikey is probably the best Artist channels out there. He uses disposable pencils e.g. Mechanical or a regular pencil, and a simple sheet of paper you can find anywhere, and he rarely uses top of the line artist equipment that are expensive ... *_Who else thinks Mikey is one of the best Artist Channels?_*

Until now i always draw some lines and cubes as a warmup before draw something else. I think the 1st step should be about how to create a good line since there are a lot of beginner artist with shaky and wobbly lines struggle to draw something. Nice tutorial btw, actually the stuff i just realized from this video is how you move your hand, grip the pencil and rotate the paper to form the lines. Awesome trick, and love the triangle!

I was in the middle of doodling a skeleton with devil horns, and when you started talking about shapes, I was all OH THIS MAKES SENSE and started putting lots of shapes in my doodle to help my brain around the things you were talking about - thanks! my horns were just circles and triangles and it helped me understand the form of that kind of thing so much better :)

oh heck yeah! basic shapes are also good to tinker with getting mileage and muscle training. and for learning how things interact with horizon points and learning draw distances (line lengths) without needing a ruler as much :) not to mention help training the intuitive portion of the brain to help with said 'visualization' on paper.
