Thank You Mikey I was able to do all 3 sections in a day so today I will start week 4. I couldn’t start earlier because I was doing the Tree of Life throw. This is an easy project compared to the other. I’m enjoying it very much. It’s a great break from something so much harder.

Row 24 has 2 extra stitches I counted 5 double 6 hdc 29 single 6 hdc then 5 double leaves me with the 2 dbl crochet in the corner so the count isn't right what should I do??

I had the same problem, after frogging the 3 previous rows, and I kept coming up with 2 extra stitches. Improvise and did 2 together on the sc. I'm not happy about it. But now the count works.

Well the way Mikey said to do it brought me 2 stitches less then the pattern I saw one of the comments to put 31 single crochet instead of 29 so I did that and it works out in the end..I hope that will help you..

I have a question. On round 24 I am ending up with 2 extra stitches at the end of the side. When I add the 5 DC, 6 hdc, 29 sc, 6 hdc and 5 DC it only adds up to 51 stitches when on round 23 we end up with 53 stitches on each side. What am I missing?

I am having fun doing this blanket and I already know I will be making more of these in the future. I am having a problem with row 24 but it's not the same as others are having. I do my 5 DC, 6 HDC, 31 SC, 6 HDC, and I only have space to do 4 DC instead of 5. I have thought about doing 2 DC in the same stitch, or only doing 30 SC, or even just leaving it with 4 DC instead of 5. Mikey, what do I do? Please help.

Are you going into the first stitch each time? Remember that the first stitch is usually mostly hidden under the corner work.

You may have to frog back and do the row again. I use stitch markers and count things out first. He doesn't always tell the count but the written pattern might. He does make one correction but I don't remember if it is around row 20 or not.

I’m stuck 😳 on row 21 they say you should have 6 pairs on each side, but then when you get to row 23 they say 7 pairs which is it? What did I do wrong?

Its just like it says for those two rows. Remember each row is getting bigger.

When you increased at the beginning of the row, it adds 2 stitches so you would increase by 1 pair.

In row 23 you only put one double crochet chain two one double crochet in the corner. So that makes row 24 not the right count.

Right, there are now 2 extra stitches per side in round 24 because of the change in the corners on round 23. What should we do?

@@bugarungus8124 Mikey does 5dc, 6hdc, and 29 sc, which makes the count come out 2 stitches short on round 24. I fixed this by doing 6dc, 6hdc, and 29sc. This made the count come out to the stitch count that is printed in the pattern of 57sts between the ch-2 spaces. (I'm hoping this will work out in the end. )

If it is like previous studies it will settle down as it gets larger. Just keep a nice easy tension on the corner stitches as you go.
