I’ve made a total of 3 of these and I use mines as hot plate pads for the microwave, I so love making these. Great gifts as well
@TheCrochetCrowd3 жыл бұрын
I am unsure I am reading this right but if I am reading that you are putting these in the microwave with a hot plate, ensure you don't put this yarn in the microwave. It an can ignite as the imperfections that may be in the yarn such as dust can spark.

Thanks so much for this tutorial. This is so much easier, now that I've seen it on video, than it looks on paper.

My mother said she loved what I made (light purple with a strong magenta type purple outside) and then immediately said it looked old fashioned! LOL. it looks like I spent hours on it according to my husband. I did it in the car, while waiting for doordash calls because it is slow. Easy to follow video, pausing when I did the repeats (or got a call) and I was almost done when I got back home. A bit finicky dipping into the lower bridges to do the sc, ch but once I got the hang of it, it went well. Patience and watching I didn't split the yarn was key. It ended up larger than expected -8.5 inches diameter-so I will probably give it to my daughter to use as a washcloth for my grandbaby. She loves purple, which is why I got the yarn I did. Michael's Loops and Threads cotton new color Lilac Ombre and the outer petals Grape. Not the best match up, but it looks fine. I will make this again.

Thank you so much! The way you explained the last round was very helpful. I would have frogged that final round if it wasn’t for your clear instructions and close-up shot of the stitch work.

I love this pattern but I use mine as a trivet. As a dishcloth, it takes to long to dry but maybe it is just because of the brand of cotton yarn I used.
