I just finished this shawl in black with a red accent for my 109 year old friend. I’m giving it to her on her birthday. I think she’s going to love it! Thank you for such great instructions!

What a great teacher you are! I love the way you break these patterns down,and show on the diagram what you are doing. It's like two lessons in one!

wow! 550k subscribers. Mikey I just wanted to thank you for the great instructions + videos. I am learning to crochet for fun thanks to your videos & the Crochet Along aphgans. I never thought I would learn more than a single crochet & rows upon rows if stitches. I am getting more adventurous because of you. You are appreciated.

The Crochet Crowd I have saved so many of your links by hitting share and sending them to my email. I crochet scarves for the homeless. I live in Philadelphia. I realized in my vication that I need to make hats too. So I have saved a pattern for that too. I was inspired by you when I heard you send your crochet items to charity.. My sister-in-law helps me. we deliver the scarves directky to the homeless on the streets.

Wow I just completed this shawl, the clusters are alot of work! One thing to take note if others want to do this shawl, it is a very small shawl, I am a small size lady, it just fit me. I used Medium 4 weight yarn with J hook.

Ok I was unsure if I was going to leave a comment about this but heack might as well. Just as a forwarn this project will not come out the correct meaurements. My gauge was perfect (I made sure to check) yarn weight as well was recommended in the pattern. Im a seasoned crocheter so its not like I'm goofing up here. My shawl came out to 46.5 inches long and 22.5 deep. Its a lovely piece however; I endjoy larger shawls. Just a warning to whomever decides to use this pattern. Its a free pattern so I cannot complain and Mikey your a doll I love your videos. Your my number one I watch on here. Keep up this channel I need your fix of wounderful videos. 😊

You can bring up your concerns with Yarnspirations to let them know. They are have designed it. It is a smaller shawl, I will admit that too. But reach out to yarnspirations and let them know via email, not on social media. They pay attention to their inbox more for customer concerns.

Hi Mikey! I love your tutorials, tips, and out of the box diy projects! Something I struggle with GREATLY is figuring out complimentary colors, shades, tones... Every time I think of a color wheel, I break out in hives and start sweating profusely. lol I have OCD so I second, third, fourth, fifth, etc guess myself about color mixtures and choices. It makes it almost impossible to even start some projects I've been dying to try and eventually sucks every ounce of fun out of something I get so much enjoyment from. I was just REALLY hoping you could help me (in your own FANTASTIC MIKEY WAY) with understand yarn color selection so I don't feel so lost, intimidated and defeated by it. I would LOVE any help you might give but especially a tutorial to refer to! Thanks for all the wonderful work you do!

Well,to make it larger,I would put in 3 more rows in the shawl,then hopefully,work out the border,making adjustments,and miraculously not have to take out a row,over and over,until I figure it out..lol..or find the diagram,and enlarge it. Is there a simplified way,to make this beautiful shawl,larger?

I want to make this longer will it effect the rows after row 14 If i continue to increase for another couple of rows?
@myrnapapier71025 жыл бұрын
Can you tell me why the pattern has some rows having tr at the end and others have stitches. Example: Row has 20 tr but Row 3 has 28 stitches? I'm new at this and not finding this easy.

@bluemaness74827 жыл бұрын
Mary Brock the pattern instructions say double crochet. I did get a little off at first because of all the triples i made previously. row 17 is double crochet. :)

I don't understand why the shawl look so big on the pic and then it turns out so small when you make it.
@lazyorbit867 жыл бұрын
Darlene Powell I saw the comments here about sizing not coming out correctly, and I tried using a bulkier yarn and bigger hook. Still came out smaller than pictured. 🤔🤔🤔
