Tal always reminds me of King Edward in Braveheart sacrificing his men. "I beg pardon, sire. Won't we hit our own troops?" "Yes... but we'll hit theirs as well."

Excuse the erratum 7:06 Even though black (Larsen) is up two minor pieces. He'll be a King down! Brilliant game. Tal makes chess look easy, especially when he has the initiative. True what they say you can't spell *Brutal* without *TAL!!!*

1st time hearing Brutal without Tal. Brilliant! Wish I had thought of it!

@@PeterWhite-q1k Can't take any credit for it. As it was on a T-shirt via redbubble! I'm such a fraud.

When you see GM Larsen featured in a game, he's going to be a punching bag. Looks like Larsen was good enough to be a valid opponent but not good enough to win. Jan Timman was the same way.

Well he took down Fischer in 1970, when he was basically unbeatable, so there's that. Although bobby had the last laugh.

I wasn't trying to rag on Larsen really, but instead on his evident role in chess history.

Thank you for an Excellent presentation of this wonderful game. I would MUCH rather watch/study/replay a game like this than one where we get 25 moves of "theory" from both sides and nothing is happening! Those games put me to sleep...

I thought you made a slight mistake at the end-but it turns out I was wrong. After QxP at the end I’m thinking RxR is mate. I missed QxP+.
