The greatest thing about Hololive still remains to be that they all are actually real gamers. Of course some are better than others, having prior experience and things like that but when any of them really wants to apply themselves, they can actually cook. Foremost always remains to be entertaining, but watching the teams use exploits/making it to a decent paced speedrun gameplay of a difficult game like Chain Together just really shows that they can cook in games. It's awesome.

Maybe slightly better comparisons are that Grindstone were ~100 m ahead when they got on the elevator, and reached where T&C were when they finished a bit over 2 mins ago (and also got some skips after). It's mainly because there is an elevator at the end. Kaela and Biboo were clearly ahead, but reaching that elevator turned a solid lead into a crushing one. My favorite thing about the Grindstone run is the fact that in their practice stream, they only managed to get like 766m after 6 hours of practice, and even that was still inconsistent, but then they practiced more behind the scenes and when the real event came in, they exceeded everybody’s expectation and got to 1k with using new shortcuts and strats that they learnt off-stream. That fact just makes the run so much more exciting. I was literally acting like some sports fan whose team was about to win a world’s championship or something when I watched them got to that 1k point 😂

Actually, No…They are reached 1000 in just 20 minutes. The gap is significant and indicates that they have practiced a lot for this. They've even considered ways to counteract lagging.
@zenalias313123 сағат бұрын
I supposed the gap during the live commentary was misleading, cause it ain't a race technically, where everyone starts at the same time. It was time attack of 20mins limit so despite Towa-Chiya looking like they're in the lead, they actually lost precious seconds on some failed tricks and they did struggle a lot on the pipes. Edit - During the winner interview, it was revealed that Grindstone knew and used the pipe skip while Towa-Chiya didn't, sealing the victory for Grindstone
@jophetism23 сағат бұрын

@ That's why I said "a bit" misleading. Because a 300m gap would make you think they were 5+ minutes ahead instead of 1 or 2. And the fact that they got about 200 m of that gap from the elevator in the last 30 seconds.

Separating them because they work well together isn't fair. And they still had latency issues which they overcame through planning and teamwork. Not to mention they won because they practiced. They inspired Towa and Chihaya to keep trying that one skip and they got it. And they came in second. So, it goes to show practice and perseverance are important. As well as teamwork. Honestly, as long as the participants remember that in the end this is for fans and for a chance to collab and have fun playing games with their friends. I really enjoyed Kaela and Biboo's practice as well as their winning performance. And the others did great as well. Hopefully they remembered to have fun and not get too stressed (Kronii).
