What happened was probably a bug or glitch due to two things happening at the same time: 1) Time ran out, so she was forced to play whatever she had selected. 2) She called liar as the time ran out, but her card was already played at that point and the game hadn't registered it as the next player's turn yet. Resulting in: Ao ended up calling liar on herself. Thanks to that, whether she told the truth or lied didn't matter.
