The game I started has several large groves near each other, so not sure how rare they are for fresh servers. I don't really care about my game though. Nothing compares to watching the Hololive girls discover their own and hearing the screams of excitement!

New update added armor trim to decorate armor with a secondary color. To give your armor a trim, you have to use trim templates that have to be found as a rare loot in the treasure chests of generated structures, and different structures will contain different thematically appropriate trim templates. They were added to incentivise exploration.
