Yes you can, just configure devices IP addresses and choose ping probe.

I did it!... you must select LINUX and OTHER LINUX 64... if not it doesn´t start... hehe

when the RouterOS image starts in the Virtual Box, it starts loading, but after a few minutes it closes and the execution stops.

Farley Bonfante are you sure that you using correct settings when you create virtual machine? I mean linux- other x64. If you don't see x64 version make sure that the bios settings are ok and not restrict x64 virtual machines. If you using x86 it won't work.

Unfotenaly yes, it must, because as you can see this is a preconfigured image file with already installed Mikrotik RouterOs for VirtualBox.

The virtual machine should be aways on, it is the dude server(in this case on the same machine), but you easy can connect to it from another pc in the same network using client application.

@@Afrenaddhie25 no this is like a junk local address in my opinion you have to do the setting for NAT network adapter in virtual box. And you have to have dhcp server(from router for example) or you have to set the ip address manually google it "how to set static addres on router os" if the client and vitrualbox(virtual machine) are on the same network or on the local machine you will be able to connect without a problem.

If your RouterOS machine is in the same IP range and mask is 16 bits ex: 192.168.*.* /16 there is no problem for that. Another way is to use router.

@@nbglink Hello I just have a little problem actually with email alerts Before I was connected to a 192.168.1.1 ADSL router it works great for email alerts since the dude Now I pass a 192.168.20.2 router that connects to 192. 168. 1.1 I have internet everything works on all other equipments But it's impossible to send email alerts with DUDE: o (((( Do you have an idea why? do you have a private email address ? :o)

What is the brand and model of your 2nd router, I think that you can try to "Forward"(open) the port of your email service. I prefer conversation to stay here for more information on the other folks in need... ;)
