Kaito does sound a bit strange, but I won't diss it all that much since it's hard to make a vocaloid talk without it sounding horrible. The tuning on this is incredible. Miku's singing has the natural glissando that a human voice would have, and that most people either don't bother replicating, or fail to replicate. Even the vibrato on sustained high notes manages to sound like a human vibrato and doesn't "mechanical" at all.
