When you listen this song, you should know that in Japan people have the deceased cremated insted of buried. then you will understand what means "smoke of you" and "the door(of cremator)"

I don't know Miku sounds like she's off in the distance, but I think that it, alongside the way she sounds more like she's just talking to someone instead of singing adds to the melancholy of the song over the upbeat music.

Commenting here bc of the niigo cover n giving my thoughts abt the song + cover!! Song itself - i love it, the cheerful tone with mourning the lost of a loved one just fits for some reason? And it sounds like a mitchie M song (specifically freely tommorow) which is my kinda thing. Also i love the art, reminds me of that old miku MMD model The niigo cover - def a bit different from most niigo songs but it's genuinely a really good cover, i think it fits them in a way

I posted a response to one your Romaji transliteration of this song before I even got to see this PV. (I used Kz's version) After watching this PV, paying no mind to the translation, I may have to go back and re-do the translation I used. This version really brings out the true meaning of the song, and your translation fits nicely with it.

When you listen to this song, you are sad When you understand the lyrics, you are also sad When you understand the meaning, you are sad too. But when you hear Miku’s voice, you are happy When you think of the good memories you had before your family member passed away, you feel better When you look up into the sky and tell yourself that they’re still out there watching you be successful in life, you feel happy. And nothing can change that. Because it’s true.

Okay, last comment, I swear! (This singing voice and prey could Reach you, I hope ) Common mistake: prey is an animal/plant that is attacked and eaten by an animal higher on the food chain. To "pray" is the verb you're thinking of, but it would be a noun in this case. The noun version is "prayer".

The song as a whole is just about losing someone close to you, whether through their death or moving away, whether they were family, a lover, etc. It can be applied to many situations, although the prevalent one is, of course, death. @Eniacbc That is true, it is not a simple program, but what I mean by that is that anyone can pick it up and create something. You don't have to sing, you don't have to dance, all it takes is a little time and a bit of imagination.

@TheSaintGamer I attribute a lot of this to how Miku is an instrument that confroms to the composer's instruction, while a human singer can have an attitude.

@tailstwister I have to say I agree, but it's not the voice that has the soul, it's the person behind it. People who make Vocaloid songs mean what they say. They aren't being forced to sing about certain things to raise sales. They honestly mean a message they say. Despite being fake, the songs aren't as manufactured. I badly phrased that. But, does anyone get what I mean?
