Melissa … A question on your sheet music. Measure number 13 has a dotted half note F, with a sequence of 8th notes F and C. If I’m holding the dotted F, how do I then play the alternating F and C sequence. Perhaps it should be an A? Bob

Hi Bob, I am so glad you are playing my music. It makes me really happy. In that measure you just have to hold the first F dotted note with the pedal and keep playing the other notes. You don’t have to hold the F with your finger but with the pedal. I decided to do it like that because it was the end of that idea and then the notes that go after that are more like an accompaniment. I hope this helps let me know👍

I just recently completed an online course which included a discussion of “finger independence”, so I learned how to hold one or more keys down while using other fingers to play a variety of associated keys. Thus I was seeing the F better played as a A, perhaps held with the 4th or 5th finger while the F and C sequence was played with the 1st and 3rd finger. I also have your arrangement of Dawn Waltz. Both beautiful arrangements of quiet music not completely beyond my skill set. Thanks for presenting your channel. And, best with your little treasure.
