Simon i seen this trick in the oceans 8 movie Listen to someone checking out get there name and room number then call the hotel and say that you just checked out but that your flight got canceled and ask if they can send housekeeping up then head up to the room and just head straight in (Dont know if this would work but you could try because you can do pretty much anything and its better than gettinh broken sleep)

In London he did something similar where he found rooms being cleaned and pretended to be the guest returning to look for something then whilst he was there he would say actually do you mind if i have a quick shower. But I don't think they'd let you stay in the room to sleep if thats what you mean lol.
