To my mom , she died in September, 50 years ago. We danced around the room when I was little. Dad had long disappeared into someone else's bed .she only wanted the best for me. She was gone, long b4 her grandchildren were born or I was even married. She missed so much. Was such a strong, brave woman, she is sadly missed.

Yes I was much loved and she cared to raise me with good social standards. I wasn't subjected to a whole heap of men staying overnight or longer. For that I will always be grateful. There were interested men, but she made them behave and be polite , if they were serious it was with flowers and chocolates! Lol.

This made me tear up...for some reason. The raw emotion that Mr. Diamond is able to capture in his music and lyrics is legendary, and a truely amazing talent to have. He is one amazing singer...and at the risk of sounding old (I AM 46 so I remember his music well from my childhood in the 70s), he is one of the greatest singers of all time. :)

Eduardo you are so much more than very right and correct . When people come to USA, they bring their language, dialect, and culture of great grandparents, grand parents, parents and children to survive in a new place , communicate with themselves and others without losing everything they are & everything that they have. Sometimes music and songs help them share what they have/ learn new, starting with the young . The closest to American is RAP ,but it is AFRICAN . Eduardo is brilliant

I have found that the best way to handle the disappointment of a failed marriage is to figure out what went wrong, if that is possible, and try to learn the lessons that came out of it. Then apply those lessons to my next relationship, to make that one better. Soul searching can be painful, but in the end you're a stronger, wiser, and better person.

My advice to you is to cherish her memory, and after a while, start over. I went on a dating site, went out with several women until I met my current girlfriend. She is a widow with 2 grown children. There have been rough spots but were both commited to making this relationship work. You owe it to yourself to find happiness again, while cherishing your wife's memory.

xD A white-dude in America isn't considered Multi-Cultural. No offense to Neil*, he rocks. But your comment makes no sense.

Adele should take a shot at this song. I bet she could bring it back to life in her own way.

Fontari Right? I'm not trying to take away anything the Diamond did. But to bring back the song for a new generation would be nice.

+Brando Phoenix We are on the same page. Mr. Diamond created a masterful piece that can bring me to tears even now. Just saying, like you, Adele could lift this to a new height...never taking away from the artistic piece of music it is!
