This German Tradition Is DYING...

Uwe Krüger is one of the last beach fisherman remaining in the Baltic Sea. Sailing from his waterfront restaurant in Heringsdorf, Uwe and his modest crew continue to face dwindling hauls all the while being told by the European Union that the amount of Herring he can fish will be cut. The EU has these regulations in place in order to foster a sustainable habitat. Here, Uwe shares his story of how became a fisherman and his thoughts on the future of beach fishing.
