This song makes me emotional whenever I listen to it .. i was in middle school when this song was aired on DD 1st time on 15th August for our Independence Day .. 1st time I heard it I instantly fell in love with it .. we literally grew up listening to it & used to wait for this song .. being born in 70s/80s/90s the only channel we had while growing up before satellite television entered .. what our generation saw present generations have no clue … so whenever we can we try to be informative n teach them .. there was one more song by MM keeravani which came after mile sur mera tumhara .. but I am unable to find it on KZbin .. I think the lyrics are this way .. don’t remember the full song but I think these are lyrics .. here n there .. ithni si aasha .. manzilein rastein .. zinda kyun jalaya jaathi ke aad mai ..
