Tulsa (/ˈtʌlsə/) is the second-most populous city in the state of Oklahoma and 47th-most populous city in the United States. The population was 413,066 as of the 2020 census. It is the principal municipality of the Tulsa metropolitan area, a region with 1,023,988 residents. The city serves as the county seat of Tulsa County, the most densely populated county in Oklahoma, with urban development extending into Osage, Rogers and Wagoner counties.
Tulsa was settled between 1828 and 1836 by the Lochapoka Band of Creek Native American tribe and most of Tulsa is still part of the territory of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
Historically, a robust energy sector fueled Tulsa's economy; however, today the city has diversified and leading sectors include finance, aviation, telecommunications and technology. Two institutions of higher education within the city have sports teams at the NCAA Division I level: Oral Roberts University and the University of Tulsa. As well, the University of Oklahoma has a secondary campus at the Tulsa Schusterman Center, and Oklahoma State University has a secondary campus located in downtown Tulsa. For most of the 20th century, the city held the nickname "Oil Capital of the World" and played a major role as one of the most important hubs for the American oil industry.
It is situated on the Arkansas River between the Osage Hills and the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in northeast Oklahoma, a region of the state known as "Green Country". Considered the cultural and arts center of Oklahoma, Tulsa houses two art museums, full-time professional opera and ballet companies, and one of the nation's largest concentrations of art deco architecture.

Nice video as always! 5:57 This proves what I thought when I first started watching this video--those low, side mounted traffic lights by themselves are a bad idea, especially on those wide thoroughfares. I missed sight of them myself on several intersections. They absolutely need overhead traffic lights.

The road design here is super sketchy. You can tell it was a free for all on design just by driving to different parts of Tulsa.

Thank you for the tour of downtown Tulsa. Nice downtown area. 2:30 BOK Center in Tulsa is nicer than Paycom Center in OKC, where the OKC Thunder play.

21:02 I also noticed that somewhat of “emptiness” in a few areas RIGHT outside central OKC too, when toured on different channel (of course:).. I’m just gonna say for Tulsa as I did for OKC. This must have been the spot that a lot of project homes once stood? And the city just haven’t built anything to replace em yet? 🕵🏻🕵🏽🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah that's probably the case most likely. The freeway seems to be the dividing line between the downtown development and the poorer areas to the north.

Yup looks about right. It’s usually not to busy during the week, and very slow on the weekends unless we have some sort of concert come through. I think down town traffic is easier than Memorial.

Seems like Tulsa has decent public transit. I take it this was shot on a weekend. Not much traffic for such a downtown area.

Except for office workers, lunch hours, and the occasional events, downtown tulsa is extremely boring, generally. There are not a lot of attractions or activities to do on a regular basis other than places to eat. There is a bowling alley and a bar/arcade..
