Because Stephanie is a loyal person. She made a commitment to Eric. She has five children with him and he’s been her partner in life for 40+ years. Just because he is spineless and will cheat with anybody doesn’t mean she should. Every time he had a fling with someone else, he eventually always went back to her. She loves him unconditionally despite his scumbag flaws, and will always be there for her best friend. It’s what being a spouse means. Stephanie is perhaps the only character in the show’s history who actually practiced commitment and treated marriage like the sacred lifelong vow it is. Every other character treats marriage like just some temporary thing you do with a person you’re dating.

And people for the last time, Brooke gave the letter to Caroline and on one of the promos they showed that Brooke and Ridge were DATING EACH OTHER and were girlfriend and boyfriend and most girlfriends I know would not give a letter their boyfriend wrote to an ex-girlfriend showing how much they love them. Loved the set for Bill Sr.'s penthouse. The sets were much better in the '80's & '90's when the soaps were in their prime & had bigger budgets. The incidental background music was much better too. And most importantly the cast, characters & story lines. The first 10 yrs of B&B were the best & I think the first 5 years of the show were some of the best in soap opera history.

No. Clarke was secretly working for Spectra while working at Forrester (and married to Kristen). He was over worked. He happened upon some of Margo’s old designs, which were not part of the collection. Later, he sketched a design for Spectra that was similar to Margo’s but he didn’t remember it was similar to Margo’s. Meanwhile either Eric or Ridge saw Margo’s design and made it the show stopper. Clarke didn’t realize all this until the fashion show.

@@julieet52 I remember when Bill Spencer Sr. came over Stephanie's when he found out the news about her and Eric's divorce. And he came over to console her and commiserate with her for a few moments and then just before he walked out to leave, he gave her a small kiss that left Stephanie kind of puzzled and in awe. It's obvious the writers were toying with, and perhaps hinting at, a possible relationship between the two. However, nothing more ever developed or came of that small little scene. I know they do that a lot on soaps, especially ones created by Bill Bell. I remember a lot of characters they paired up briefly only to test the waters and then nothing ever came from them and the potential romances were suddenly dropped. A relationship between Neil and Victoria on Y&R comes to mind. I remember they had the characters flirting with each other and I think they even went on a date or two and then the whole idea was swept under the rug. That is one example of so many. Anyway, I always felt that B&B had enough excitement and intrigue in its early years to deserve the prestige of being a prime time soap. Although, the only reason I'm glad it wasn't one, is because there would be a lot less episodes. I'm sorry but there is really no other soaps nighttime or daytime that beat B&B and Y&R during their glory days. It's is so sad that those days are long gone.
