Looks like you had a great day of fishing, you guys went out with one of the best in Everglades city there’s guys are awesome.

When I was running charters there, I had a 1989 Maverick Master Angler with Yamaha 130. It ran smooth and dry in the winter choppy waters, held 3-4 people and ran shallow. No matter what type of boat you have, there are deeper channels along with very shallow areas to fish. If bringing your boat (outboards only), stick to channels and outer islands. The backwaters take time to learn and GPS is not much use except outer islands.

Glad you finally got to Everglade City. I was a Charter Captain in the 10,000 Islands for 10 years. This video brought back some nice memories for me.

If I'd have been there. I'd have targeted Flounder before any of the other species caught on this video. Flounder is awesome table fare.
@Blane_be_fishin3 жыл бұрын
You can’t really target them in the southern regions of Florida. There’s just not enough of them. You catch one every now and then as bycatch.

Ok, last I heard was that it was catch and release until 5/31 in all Florida gulf waters
@madfishermanmadfisherman42993 жыл бұрын
Spotted seatrout is catch-and-release only in state and federal waters from the Hernando/Pasco county line south to Gordon Pass in Collier County through May 31, 2021.
@rickyseitz71303 жыл бұрын
It only takes a minute to look it up, closed from Gordon Pass north to Pasco County on the west coast of Florida. Allowing some revitalization from the red tide that occurred here lately. Everglades City is far south of the closed area.
