Thank you so much Jimmy! Yeah I still love these older jams, would love to play them again in a set. But with 1 or 1 1/2 hours playtime it’s always hard to decide which songs to play and which not 😌

This is the best techno jam I have heard. I just got a Quantum Mark2 which is my first synth so I'm learning a lot. I will check out your tutorial. I do not quite understand how to make music without a DAW so I'm sure I can learn plenty.
@MilesKvndra

Congrats on the synth! Yeah I have quite some videos about making DAWless music, however meanwhile I changed to a hybrid setup (DAW + hardware synths) which has proved for me to be the best working setup for both composing and playing live sets.

Great jam! :) Can I ask, how did you do the 'pitching up' effect, first heard at 4.33? Is this something you have a tutorial on, or is it something simple I can't think of! Keep up the good work!
@MilesKvndra
@MilesKvndra 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! It's in fact something quite simple: an LFO with pitch going up on a twig that's only triggered when hitting the fill mode. I don't have a tutorial on that but I'm planning to make one about transitions on the DN and there will this one definitely be captured!

Cheers Matthew! Yeah I mastered the jam in Ozone 9 using a MB compressor, EQ, stereo imager etc. But delay and reverb are coming straight from the device.

I have an OP-1 and model cycles setup but I’ve been struggling to find the right connectivity for recording. Would like some advice from you, the audio out goes to your sound recorder and then to your camera? Or is it synced In post?
@MilesKvndra
@MilesKvndra 2 жыл бұрын
@@JaseOn nice set-up! In this video I recorded it with an old audio recorder (Olympus LS-5) from the Digitone's outs but it quite a noticeable noise floor. So today I record most of the time directly into Ableton and sync it in post. I recently also recorded a live set in a club directly to my camera which worked as well

@@907-q7u thanks haha, appreciate it! 🙏🏻 But I can tell you that's not always smooth sailing, I often get stuck when creating jams and need to step away from the whole process for a few days to get a new perspective. That's why I admire those folks who draft a complete song/jam from scratch in only one session.
