Lane College takes this one. Miles College having a cheering section couldn’t help them.

The lack of confidence from miles is extremely evident on their faces while playing

Times have really changed, I personally dont think it was a good battle between the sections at all. I mean yes playing the cadence GREAT....Sectionals within the section GARBAGE....How can you truly determine anything when one section trying to play then the other want to TRY and play at the same time with solos? Also bass drums (BOTH) solos just sounds as if they are just beating cant even really hear TRUE rhythms. Snares, tenors, and quads IF doing a sectional thing should be the only ones doing something for real but cymbals (LOL) and bass drums not so much. On another note not saying which section but you all need to tune them snares sounding like you all playing on paper heads. I would love to HEAR you all really go at it as a SECTION without sectionals.....BEST OF LUCK TO BOTH 24K and RAYNE....24K MORE LOVE FROM THAT 45

I am definitely with you on that. Those call outs, solos or whatever they called it when the basses, tenors, cymbals randomly start playing. Now snare or quad solos are completely understandable. Drum battles used to be all about playing straight cadences and sequences, not this solo garbage. Drumlines used to respect one another no matter how deep the rivalry. You allow them to play the cadence and not cut in and try to out play them.

Me personally I like the call outside it shows that they have alot more technical stuff that wouldnt exactly fit into a typical cadence setup

Lane drums are not tuned properly which makes there sound not clear. Bunch of pots and pans.

Lane was sounding like War and Thunder the past two years. Something definitely changed this year with the tuning. They should be much louder with that size drum line and much better sound with those Dynasty. They probably toned everything down because they were drowning out the band. They still sound good though, you can just tell the sound is different this year especially the basses.

Eddie Grider they actually didn’t sound like WT bro. The intensity has been comparable in previous battles this year though for sure. Both with Benedict and with Coahoma & Langston.. this particular clip would very well be the positioning of the camera. I do notice exactly what you’re hearing though bro.
