I just gotta say: 1- (Did anyone see that redbull Tokyo skate comp the other day? Highest level of skating I've ever seen) 2- (Can we please make OTHER skate awards besides SOTY?) There's such insane skating going on that deserves props. SOTY creates tunnel vision. Let's broaden our range of things we give yearly props for. Spread the love. Add categories, subjects. Instead of this all or nothing thing. Also lets not limit the other awards to only if it was uploaded on Thrasher, or it's not eligible? This is skateboarding. This new Faze, Craze of SOTY has sorta soured some people's perspective on skateboarding as a whole. It's like if only one person won a Emmy award... There's so many other things to give credit to. Instead of just this mass debate over a single yearly award.. idk? Am i alone on this? The thought just popped into my head and i wrote it down
