Thank you, Max, for keeping the Infinite love going. This is such a great game, from a gameplay perspective, and it didn't deserve the decisions that were made for it. I really loved the return to 2v2 and the active tag system is the best that's been done, in my opinion. Better art direction and better character choices would've made a world of difference. I also feel this is one of the games, alongside the upcoming Avengers game, that proves sticking too close to the MCU aesthetic is the wrong move for video games. If these games had a more comic accurate look, like MVC 3, it would have gone down a lot easier.

I think the reason this gameplay looks so magical compared to all the other VS titles currently popular is that MvCI isn’t afraid to let you do CRAZY SHIT with your Tags instead of making them a liability or something that’s just for supers or assists. Like it really makes me feel like that’s a TEAM like he’s fucking stomping face with both of those characters on screen right now and not just one actually good character utilizing a good assist on the bench

KamektheMagikoopa1 It is a good game. The most common complaints I have read are roster size and going from 3 to 2 Fighter teams. I also get the impression that a lot of the people who review it on KZbin never gave it a chance. I was watching one a while back that comes to mind where the reviewer stated he was “no longer able to do crazy combos” because of the smaller teams. Even watching this video proves that wrong.

After watching this and the Shadow Lady video, is it weird that I now suddenly want the oft-hoped for Capcom Vs. to be Third Strike (1v1, parries, mobility, varied specialization of fighters (Ryu doing more stun than Ken and so on), etc.) but with Marvel-style air combos, enormous roster, and the like? Maybe open it up to 1v1 but with an assist character for combo extenders, projectiles, etc. and have them modify how Supers act (different Assist causes it to have different properties?)?
