After getting back to AE and finding that I got worse. and getting actually way better than before now! I'm really thinking of getting back to SFXT but I hope it's worth it! MAX I never watch sfxt, 3rd strike, umvc3 gameplays or commentary but there is something about your commentary that make me watch the whole video! keep it up dude :)

Ogre is one of my mains and if I can give you any advice it's this. Use standing lk more, it's got good priority and hits low. Also his overhead flaming smash move is an overhead and can be tag canceled into a lot of characters for a lot of damage. Lastly, his crouching lk, mk, mk string can be ended with cr hp(overhead) for a mixup. Either that or end the sting up after you train them to block the string a certain way. You can end the string before the final hit or do overhead early too.

In simpler terms, switching characters in a fighting game isn't like switching a gun in a shooter. It takes a hefty amount of time to actually learn every fighter's specials, combos, frame traps, movement, play style, etc. and getting good with a specific character is better than playing with a large vast of different characters because it's hard enough to remember one character's stats, combos, and a bunch more.

Yeah, I fully agree with you. I myself don't see me in any tournaments for any game despite me trying to play them online, so this game is perfect for guys like me.

I forced myself to forget about using focus attack in SFxT. However, now when I play SSFIV, I completely forget about focus attacking.

I agree with Max when he said it's easy to switch from a shooting game back to a fighting game, but the switch from a fighting game to a different fighting game is so frustrating. I remeber once I sat in front of my tv after playing mk9 for a few weeks, and literally watched my whole team(Haggar, Wolverine, Akuma(not in that order) get totally smacked. So I say that switching from fighting game to fighting game is a very hard thing to do and the only way around it is lots of practice

Hey max you might want to use alpha counter a bit more against multi hit dragon punches like akuma and ken when they tag it stops the stupid jab pressure.

I don't know why so many people are hating because he won't play KOFXIII. I mean, I play SFxT and KOFXIII, but I definitely enjoy the aesthetic of SFxT more, so I play it more. If he ever plays it great. If he doesn't, go watch someone who does, but don't dis his play just because he won't play an SNK or Arc System Works game like BlazBlue. Max has been good to the community, so give him a little more respect than calling SFxT and UMvC3 "Easy".

Technically you do not gain any health from cross assault, its basically the combined health put together then split 50/50

Assist gems are good in theory. I use the old throw tech gem (the one that takes more meter), and I can see myself getting better at teching throws from it. But yea, for the most part, the assist gems are not used in the proper way, and are just abused by players who are already good at Street Fighter games.

Now although i admit smash bros doesn't require you to learn combos (to a certain extent) there are still other factors to consider such as learning how use the stage your playing on to your advantage, understanding the mobility of your character, and a lot of other challenging aspects that many other fighters share. Please Don't knock it cuz its different

I know Capcom isn't going to get rid of the assist gems, but it'd be nice if players could't use them in ranked when the reach a C rank. Sucks losing to a player do to auto block or now ultimate defense gem.

Well...SfxTk and UMvC3 ARE easy to play. But I think why people are upset on the SfxTk side is he's continuing to "endorse" (I guess would be a good word) a game that many people feel should not be. Their was a lot of dirty things plaguing this game from the start and maybe people are upset he keeps posting vids for "the week of" instead of something else. But hey he's gonna do what he wants to do and I respect that.

MvC3 is one of the most easiest games to master after u get over that learning curve of the game. games like 3rd strike is why i like watching max && alittle bit of sfxt as well ; i wish he would get nice in skull girls tho - its not that hard of a game once u get an idea of how its meant to be played

umm yea you obviously haven't been to any competitive smash bros scenes to understand the various intricacies to mastering a character in that game. It may seem like just knocking someone off a stage but you can say the same with street fighter saying your just hitting the guy till his health runs out. Now we both know that these games like street fighter, MVC3, skull girls, etc. are far more than just hitting each other and requires memorizing combos and practicing execution to name a few.

i think its his decision nevertheless its his hobby besides i cuold agree with your point of not caring about losing but it looks like you dont know max he doesnt like llosing no one does it's true some people take it better (like max) than others but in the world of fighting games winning its first priority hence there are tourneys and online games you must understand that he will not sacrifice his fun because if you dont know that feeling when you win a match you don't play fighting games
