Still my favorite Marvel VS series game along with X-Men vs SF. I spent many days playing this in the arcade and then imported the arcade perfect Saturn version (avoided the PS1 version like the plague). Probably the most overlooked game in the VS series.

For some reason my experience with the ps1 x-men VS. Street fighter doesn't have any of the issues max had with his. And I just played it on my ps1 the other day. And Ken did have his big ass shinku hadouken. I even combo's him with Ryu all the time for that double hadouken.

I`m almost sure you are missing the most fun part of that version of psx, you can chain SUPERS! Pick up dark sakura one day and try, you can chain 3 shinkus before the enemy hit the ground after the first hits .. its so broken but so good at the same time, lol. But I love this game, I grew playing that version and in the arcades, with some friends, the psx version is much more fun, belive me. :)

I think the reason that the model for Ken in Smash Bros Ultimate has instantly caught on, is that he's based off his original appearance from Super Turbo which is his most iconic look. It literally looks like they just translated his original artwork into 3d, and it looks great! Why didn't Capcom think it was good enough?

I get that the more recent vs series ( TVC, MVC 1,MVC3, AND MVCI ) didn't need any more shotos but I REALLY WISHED THAT THEY WOULD'VE BROUGHT KEN BACK IN THESE GAMES! SPECIFICALLY MVC3! He's a legacy character and has had a long running history with the series! If it were up to me I would've replaced a Capcom character ( maybe firebrand ) with Ken! Or bring him in via dlc!

You know.....there are things AWFULLY SIMILAR with MARVEL SUPER HEROES VS STREET FIGHTER & CAPCOM VS SNK 2: 1. a "Powered Up" Akuma is a boss along with ANOTHER boss OTHER than The powered up Akuma(MARVEL SUPER HEROES VS STREET FIGHTER: CYBER AKUMA and APOCALYPSE are the bosses. CAPCOM VS SNK 2: SHIN AKUMA & ULTIMATE RUGAL are the bosses) 2. Both games have AKUMA RECEIVE EXTRA POWER FROM THE OTHER BOSS (MARVEL SUPER HEROES VS STREET FIGHTER: Akuma gets powered up by Apocalypse to become CYBER AKUMA. CAPCOM VS SNK 2: Akuma receives Orochi power from Rugal to become SHIN/GOD AKUMA).
