My main request is that the trunk becomes a 5th door so it's a true "euro style" sedan with all of the added utility that comes with that feature. I'm fairly convinced the reason a lot of these smaller turbo engines short shift even in manual/sport mode is to keep you better in the effective rev range. This car has peak HP at 6500 RPM so it makes no sense to rev higher than that. It also makes peak torque at 1500 RPM so short shifting a little bit gives you more power early in the next gear.

Really good review. I had this exact car, but a ‘21. It was supposed to be the perfect replacement my for my Dodge Charger R/T, but unfortunately I only owned it for 4 months. This is one of those cars that both on paper and for short term seems like a perfect sports sedan, but mine had quite a few issues that I couldn’t live with. It was so disappointing because I absolutely loved the 2.0T engine, but the 10spd transmission was a major letdown. Mine was jerky, searched for gears and was so slow to respond. I also had a multitude of electronic gremlins. And those seats. Ugh. The most uncomfortable seats I’ve ever experienced. They had such little support/padding for me (220lbs) it felt like I was sitting on concrete. As a former owner of 6 different Honda products in the past, to say I was let down is a major understatement. Your assessment of it really being a mainstream sedan vs a real sports sedan is 100% accurate. I sold it and bought an Elantra N and couldn’t be happier.

It really excels though when you find that perfect balance. There's a certain way you have to kinda roll onto the throttle and steer it for those really good acceleration and handling traits to shine through. The 2.0T has a certain sweet spot in the range. The biggest L we all run was the fact that very few people bought this model with the manual. But i also partially blame dealers for not ordering them since i couldn't find them near me.

they're not gonna order what's not in demand

LOL Honda has been using the same type/brand of tire since I can remember. I leased a new Accord back in 1993 and it came with the same primacy tires ...

Honda Accords needs more looks, tech in order to compete. Today is not just about reliability anymore as many vehicles are now reliable. Hyundai Sonata has panoramic roof, amazing interior, great sound system, cool seats, surround view camera, a good 1.6T engine and great exterior styling.. Honda needs that. Not just in the Accord but Civic, and SUVs

Yea but looks aren't everything this looks decent and it's gonna be more reliable than a hyundai they haven't redeemed themselves yet

Hyundais are garbage on wheels. If you plan to keep it forever, get the accord. If you plan to keep it for a few years then yes the sonata N is better.

Really liked this review. My pops has been shopping around for a new car moving on from his 2019 Camry XSE and he really likes the way the accord looks but yesterday we viewed a Hyundai Sonota N Line and I have to say it is a beautiful car. Will take this review into consideration as we will be going to test drive an accord today.

The 10 speed auto is faster. A limited slip differential would be nice though. Something has to be said for this car to have 252 hp 2.0 turbo 4 cylinder beating the 301 hp NA v6 though… the gearing is spot on with this 10 speed auto. 😊 In theory… the 300 hp Camry SHOULD beat the accord 2.0 by quite a bit. But… it fails.

Mazda 3 Gt 2022 as more technologies (head up display), more luxurious interior, cheaper than the accord sport, more torque, awd, better audio (12 Bose speakers), responsive and better infotainment system in my opinion. The poblem with Honda is that they don't go forward, they will upgrade each year just to stay in the competition without bringing anything new. Mazda as grown in the last few years, while Honda stay's the same.

yet honda still far outsale mazda by leaps and bounds, they must be doing something right

Great looking car with no soul. I own one, and one of the last ones with manual. It is mind numbing boring car. My wife drives it now and can't wait to trade it in.
