ngl I do love the S65 but ig some people do not care as much anymore because we still have the S63 for now and that 6.0 tt 12cyl isn’t that light to be used to be as a performance AMG powertrain so they just nerfed it for the V8s instead and unfortunately they couldn’t revive the 65 lineup cuz if emissions and it doesn’t have mufflers or resonators as standard cuz if it does then it would sound just like a v12 maybach… but we still have S65s on the road at least…

I've never found the styling of this latest Mercedes S-Class that appealing. The rear lights look like an economy car, and the interior is just pachinko parlor maximalism. But then again, I'm certainly not the intended market for this sedan.

Coming from a '10 diesel pickup that I let warmup for a couple minutes before I drive off, I wonder how does the engine warm up when you ride off in EV mode. (Or is warming up just a myth? I've always "warmed up" cars before going because my parents and their siblings always did it growing up.)

The E-range is short enough that the gas engine will turn on with any drive of a decent length. Modern engines don’t need to sit idling, but you’ll still want to drive it conservatively when it’s coming up to temperature

If i start early in the morning in ev mode that means my engine is still cold when it starts after battery drains which makes no sense for me, sounds bs to me 😂

There’s really just enough range to get you out of your neighborhood, so if you’re driving for any length of time, you’ll have to wake the V8 anyway. If not, then you’ll stay in EV to and from your destination and what’s the harm? Even without EV functionality, driving a cold engine hard is a bad idea, so if that’s what you’re thinking, you’ll need some self restraint
