I just wanted to say, I went downtown last night for the Neon Music Festival and it was great to see a large turnout, and I plan on being there for the next 2 nights and bringing good business to all the resorts as well. Hopefully the city notices this actually brings in more ppl than stupid F1! Great move downtown!

As a long time local who has been communicating with tourist - since 1979: The Downtown Grand offers the nice quiet rooms while still being close to (noisy) Fremont St. They should market that aspect. TI:(Treasure Island). They need to COMPLETELY change that WASTED strip space. A show that everyone watches and then walks away is NOT a $ maker. They need to develop an attraction that draws people IN thru the casino doors. Like what they've done at Planet Hollywood. All those restaurants in the front of Planet Hollywood - inviting stairways - easy Strip access, etc. Expensive renovation - but; worth it. IMO. (Good video. Like MOST locals & tourist: I hate F1!)

Why would I pay $25 for a fancy bagel at the Aria Food Hall when I can get a good full breakfast including a drink at America Cafe at NY-NY for the same price? If I need a cheap meal for lunch or dinner I’ll go to Raising Canes or In-N-Out, or get the awesome 4-cheese grilled cheese sandwiches at The Chef Truck at Park MGM - it’s only $12!

I love buffets, but last time I ate at wicked spoon was about 18 months ago and it was so bad. I actually considered asking for my money back after I saw the meager offerings. No fruit, just cheap fruit salad! There was only 1 pancake left in the unheated bowl and it was in pieces....when I went back up about 20 minutes later, it was still the only pancake in the bowl. Yuck.

21:31 everybody I know who went to Las Vegas and didn't know F1 was going on said it was the worst experience in Vegas they ever had because you couldn't travel anywhere, there was very few or little to no Uber rides, and the prices were insane for rooms and other amenities. The only good thing was the casino floor was primarily empty and they had the craps table all to themselves for a few days😂

I'm not a big fan of drag but I went to see that show, because Vegas. So I don't have much to compare it to, but... Yeah, it was a great time! The performers were very entertaining and fun. It was a very comfortable, very festive, very friendly experience. "PG"-rated, at most. There were families there, and the emcee did a charming little bit in which she got all the kids up on stage. The bottomless drinks were, indeed, constantly refilled -- which made the amount I spent tipping the performers a little less of a bite. The food part of the "brunch" was disappointing, though, in both selection and quality.

I avoided driving on the Strip my entire 2 week stay that ended with a flight home 10:30PM Saturday, 11/16. though I did cross over it several times, mostly on Sahara. Didn't affect me too much as I played at the Rio, Palms, Green Valley, Cosmo & Eureka in/near Las Vegas, and the Aquarius, Harrahs & Tropicana in Laughlin.

We had a guest get trick rolled TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW at a major strip casino. He did not learn the first time. Usually, these men get outraged when the casino cannot ID the female and get his possessions back. Then they want the casino to cover their losses as though it is the casino's fault.

it's a 10-year contract. It's true that there is a break clause after the 2025 race, but it's been a success for both commercial partners and all the signs point firmly to it running for the full 10 years.

We visited Las Vegas in late summer 2023 and F1 had already done a lot to ruin the Strip experience -- vision blockers up/being put up, sidewalks closed or super-congested, cranes and construction equipment everywhere. (It also made it super-difficult to even WALK to Ellis Island to get away from the nastified Strip.) We vowed to never visit in the months leading up to that 3-day event ever again, and the whole experience came close to killing any interest in visiting Vegas *at all*. But we will be back next month (December 2024). We'll see how quickly they clean up the F1 mess.

I liked F1 until yesterday. Now I say F the grand prix. The biggest issue is it took strip employees from Paris, PH AND Horseshoe over an hour to get out Thursday because that PATG parking company has their head in their ass. They are also not keeping the schedule with the harmon bridge as outlined.

A similar thing happened on my most recent Vegas trip in October. My friend was drugged by a two guys chatting him up at the cashier's cage at Cosmo. They got his watch and his cash after following him down the hall to Vdara. Turns out after speaking with vice, there were two spotters at his BJ table who signaled their team. After his conversation with vice, this has become common on the strip....and especially downtown, apparently. Moving forward, i'm wearing my Apple watch and drinking from a sippy cup when I'm out there....oh, and F - Formula One!

Treasure island-- turn the lagoon into pool. Build a CASA BONITA with high divers. Install fountains similar to the Wynn. Bottomless tacos nachos and cheese enchiladas. Have some crazy margaritas pina coladas and blue Hawaiians. Just make it a sports bar with lots of TVs to show sports then when there’s no sports show re-runs of South Park then on the weekends have a live rock roll country and blues band. It’s so easy

Pizza Rock lost me as a customer before I ever got a chance to try it. We stopped at GN for my daughter done Chic fil a then walked to Pizza Rock. That has an entire conversation with us about where to find Chic fil a then after about 5 minutes of friendly chat they told us they wouldn't seat us until her food was gone. The manager was very rude about it. We've taken kids for with us into many of Vegas restaurants including Nacho Daddy on this same trip. We left and went to Evil pie instead. May be my last time visiting Fremont all together

After spending minutes showing polite disinterest to the woman beside me who kept leaning into me to ask for advice on how to play her infrequent one-quarter-at-a-time video poker hands, I finally said, "Hey, you seem very nice. But I'm gay." Sure fire, right? But, no -- it didn't work either time! The first lady tried to convince me that she could change my mind. I became less polite. The second one said, "Oh! F F1 Hairy Reed was a POS! 🚨GB 4 Racer Ava Dobson will be at Hard Rock Cafe Saturday (Today) 12 - 3 on the Second Floor! Had they sold the shoeys I would have bought some, but having to be there and jump through hoops makes me even more disinterested in F1! My corrugated steel covered heart! (I know it's aluminum) Senor Frogs was cool with the inner tube butts hanging down from ceiling! 🤣 Buffet prices go up and quality goes down. I was on the strip Fri and Sat. It was OK. I was on the north end by the Wynn and Fontainebleau. Traffic from FB to Wynn at 8PM was mellow. The strip was close just south of the Wynn and I assume staying down there would have been a mess.

I'm here at the Horseshoe Food Court. The Line to get on the Monorail is Backed Up to the Door of the Food Court. 12:15am. I Had no idea. The planning of Vegas Transportation to move thousands of people has been poor. I live in Seattle and after the Football Game, we have Lightrail, Several bus lines from the Int'l District, Chinatown. I have wait maybe an hr at the Food court or go back to the casino, to get out. The Deuce is from MgM Grand. I was staying at Pk MGM and then Paris during the week with cheap rates. Then I moved to Westgate and extended my trip because there is a power outage where I live outside of Seattle. So I am staying Monday.

The individual portions were annoying and you can't stack more than 3 on a plate which makes you eat slower and get full faster so you don't over eat or get your money worth. Go away f1. Hate the name change of the airport. Go to fantastic indoor swap meet and invest in a knockoff Rolex. I ❤ the renderings of the lodge. I can see the plan is to keep the fireplace in the middle of the room. Love it. New Kids on the block has a residency at Park MGM in 2025. Way more dates than the killers. Restaurants in Treasure Island are doomed to fail. TI is NOT in a good location: It is close to center strip so people may stay there, but it can never bring outside foot traffic. While it is close to Mirage, Venetian, Caesars & Harrah, it is on the OPPOSITE walking direction to/from center strip, so people staying at those properties will never pass by TI on their way to center strip, despite close proximity! Nothing interesting also happens north of TI (and Resorts World is too far away to be walkable) so no incentive for anyone to walk north from center strip & pass by TI. To make matters worse, TI front entrance is very unwelcoming & depressing, so it never incentivizes anyone to take a detour. On top of it, the property has a TERRIBLE layout with nearly zero signage, so finding the restaurants is also a challenge all by itself!

Fashion Show Mall is there; that's how I know TI. And also the gondola rides. But you're right, in general, it's at a horrible spot. But I would much rather stay there than Venetian/Palazo.

@@aheroictaxidriver3180 I accounted for Fashion Show being nearby, and it has very minimal impact on TI. You see, FS is a destination, not a starting point. There are dozens of reasons to avoid TI on the way or returning from Fashion Show Mall but only 1 reason to pass by TI! For instance, (1) Mismatched market segments: due to being primarily a luxury mall, the wealthy clients are unlikely to do anything at a lower end property like TI. (2) Due to being away from other resorts, most of the Fashion Show clientele takes a taxi/Uber/car to it, and avoid TI on arrival & departure. (3) Those who walk to it tend to be staying nearby (hence near TI) either way so not much ADDED foot traffic. (4) On departure, if they have shopping bags, they take a taxi/Uber to their hotel room right away. (5) If they don't have bags but stay even more than 2 blocks away, they'll take an Uber/Taxi/car to their next destination & avoid TI. (6) If they stay nearby but it's hot or cold outside, people will take the tram or indoor route on the opposite side of the road, not the open-air TI route. The list of reasons to avoid TI go on & on.

I don't think many Americans know or care about F1. NASCAR is the Big Dog in auto racing here. Back in the Wide World of Sports days they would show a few USAC races especially when Mario Andretti or Dan Gurney or the Unser brothers were running. Now the only Open Wheel racing I see on TV is the Indy 500. Is there even an American team in F1? I think F1 should just stay in Europe.

As a concierge at one of the busiest hotels on the strip that caters to higher end clientele… they hate it. Giant stretches of streets are closed and I can’t get my guests anywhere! The only people who enjoy this are the visitors who are go with the flow types. I’ve never dealt with so many disgruntled tourists than the last 72hours

Headed to Vegas in the morning for Thanksgiving week-F1 be damned, It seems the race only impacts tourists if their idea of enjoying Vegas is hanging out center strip. Last year I stayed at Trump International-which is right outside of the race route-so my stay was not impacted by the race, and I get my entertainment in the surrounding communities and Fremont Street. Thanks for all the updates, guys.
