This is the first time I heard someone say “Miley has cocky personality“ lmao while she does have an unapologetic aura to what she think is right and I think most of us men and woman should have this. She doesn’t care if people hate her but made sure to show gratitude to people who love her. Has always kept her personal life personal while media tried hard to dig up her life. She is really not what you think she is. Also she is more into Rock genre. Check out her Backyard sessions of Endless Summer vacation. Thousand miles is nominated for Grammy. Wow, she's one of the most authentic of celebs, down to Earth and very nice. She learned very well from her godmother Dolly Parton. This song is after her messy divorce from her on and off again BF/fiance/husband since she was like 17 and their house burning down. This is extremely personal.

I’ve been following Miley since her early career and I really love her pathway since 2020 when she collaborated with Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks and Billy Idol! I think you will LOVE her sister Noah Cyrus. She sings country, indie folk. (I suggest the songs “I Burned LA Down” or “Noah Stand Still”)

Hey Jennifer My twin daughters were in the Miley back in the day. I never paid attention to her. I saw her in a reaction vidoing Metallica's nothing else matters. She killed it. So I went back and took a look at some of her music she is really good.. peace ✌️

I think the controversy surrounding her early on was strictly an American thing. I never understood it, or what she was supposed to have done wrong. But I do think she was always going to end up in hot water, leaving the Disney goody-two-shoes image behind, even though progress was unavoidable. Girl grew up. It happens. And I think we should probably give young people a bit of slack when they’re in the process of finding who they are. I found watching the (American) media tear such a young person to shreds far more disturbing than anything she did or could have done. Thankfully she survived it. Personally I was no fan of her early stuff either - teenage girls unfortunately don’t have much say in how they are marketed in the music industry. But grown up Miley, I will always want to hear. Her quality as a vocalist is staggering. And her selection and execution of covers so far have been mind-blowing.

I appreciate your comment. I definitely liked this one a lot more than my first reaction to her cover of Blondie's "Heart of Glass". I didn't care for that at all. I got a lot of hate on that one. I'm glad I gave this one a chance!

I just think the public discourse in America sometimes goes overboard with the puritanism, in a way that is completely alien to the rest of the Western world. Let kids be kids. They’ll figure it out. Just like we did. ;)

For "better" Miley? Try The Backyard Sessions. Especially the early ones. For example : her cover of "Look What They've Done To My Song". Whatever her personal antics and stinky Disney show did to your opinion of her... she's got very good taste in what SHE likes in music (and shows it in the covers she occasionally does).

It was just something I felt a couple of times when I saw her at a very young age, and it just stuck with me. It's all me. I just needed to give her some attention. I did a reaction, as a request from one of my "Lounge Lizards" to her cover of Blondie, Heart of glass and I didn't care for it... I caught a lot of flack, but I was being honest. Anyway, I decided to give it another chance, and I really did like this one. I am getting there, slowly. lol. Welcome to the Lounge!
