This has always been one of my favorite songs by her. She sang it well back then and now. But I feel there is more emotion and maturity in her voice now compared to when she was younger. She has been through a lot since she first wrote this song, so the lyrics speak more volume now I feel.

2009 Miley sounds great 2023 Miley sounds great BUT putting this over eachother is the worst thing I ever heard!! Also, this isn’t against Miley… It’s just no need to put it over eachother. Miley can’t sing it in the original key anymore. The performances have a 14 years difference and Miley has had vocal surgery, obviously the song changes.
