Isn't some of the problem the current pop style? Because when she's performing covers, I love her voice, but a lot of her originals seem sort of shrill. My favorite advise she gave was with Emily when she told her to sing without the band and just her and her guitar for the first half of the song to make it more solemn and then to have fun and play with the song and her voice once the band drops in the 2nd half of the song. And her advice to Moushimi to sing 'New Americana' like an Anthem (like she is preaching every word) rather simply singing it. Although Moushimi did not really take her advice during the actually performance. Haha Her advice to Lacy was good too. She said she should start slow and smooth rather than going full rocker immediately. The only problem is that it works on Miley's voice but it did not on Lacy. LOL
