Military Influence that Maps Out Weakness, Harnesses Confusion, & Triggers Obedience w Chase Hughes
SHOWNOTES: www.successpodc...
In the world of military intelligence, you must use every psychological weapon available to you. How can we become "puppet masters" of Influence? Using methods and systems we dive into how human weakness can be mapped out. How confusion can be an amazing tool as well as how to trigger obedience in someone else.
Learn all this and more in our latest episode The Military Influence Training that Maps Out Human Weakness, Harnesses Confusion, and Triggers Obedience in Others with Chase Hughes.
This week as part of our "Military Influence Series" we present to you the darker side of influence and introduce to you Chase Hughes. We touch on brainwashing, reading human body language, creating Manchurian candidates, how this one psychological bias can convince strangers to murder someone more than 80% of the time, how to profile someone and search for their weaknesses, and much more including...
How to disengage someones "autopilot" responses in a conversation or any scenario.
How to develop and increase your perceived authority and thus, your influence.
The 5 key factors you can use to hack authority and trigger an "obedient" response.
How to spot the true alpha in a group - "Big dogs don't feel the need to bark."
A personal challenge to each listener from Chase that will level up your ability to influence.
And even more!
Chase is the founder of Ellipsis Behavior Laboratories and the Amazon bestselling author of The Ellipsis Manual. Chase previously served in the US Navy as part of the correctional and prisoner management departments. Chase speaks on a variety of topics including brainwashing and attraction and frequently develops new programs for the US Government and members of anti-human-trafficking teams around the world.

I grew up in a cult, so I’ve experienced blind obedience to these techniques. Now that I’m free I could listen to Chase for hours and constantly learn something new. I had an ahah moment at the end-talking about creating confusion to engender compliance. I think this is how word salad works.

I look at a quote said to Chase every day. "If someone else talked to you the way you talk to yourself, you'd knock their teeth out". I'm kind of hard on myself, and it reminds me to give myself a break.

I don't understand the drive some people have to control others. Understanding people is a worthy pursuit though.

When Chase talked about needs and fears and not being able to completely overcome them it reminded me of steps 6 and 7 of the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (of which I’m a part.) Chase really hit on a universal truth I’ve found in trying to work spiritually in my AA program and in therapy; progress not perfection.

Chase is a unique individual because he has amazing sensitivity, insight, intelligence, life experience and is extremely humble and kind hearted. This mix in human nature is rare and I enjoy everything I hear from him. I have just bought his book 📚 and plan to make lots of notes Thank you so much ☺️

So well said. Totally agree and I can't wait to read The Ellipsis Manual and 6 min X-ray. I'll be taking notes too because that's the only way I will read it slow enough to absorb the information. 😄

So, finding your needs is great but I would like to point people to the work that a student of Maslow has done. Steve Andreas studied under Maslow. Steve Andreas created what is called the self-concept model. This model creates in a person a framework for working on insecurities and at the same time creates a deeper ability to connect. This is a feed forward model that creates a learning framework that makes people more sensitive to feedback in a resourceful way. Sadly, Steve died. Damon Cart is teaching people this model though.

Sadly people generally struggle to understand or work on themselves? I talk to several strangers every day. I absolutely love what this teaches me about myself. The human relationships make life rich ❤️ A NEW EARTH BY Ekheart Tolle… Living in THE NOW but looking forward to my new book by CHASE HUGHES.

Very interesting content. I am in total agreement with Hughes that anyone who seeks to be a genuine "influencer" first needs to exude self-possession (although I now detest the word "influencer," but for lack of a better word.), and others pick up on that individual's confidence. It's almost a cliche in literature: "He was in an EXPANSIVE mood after his great success that evening...." Almost like success makes bloom bigger into the world around us. Good stuff.

If Milgram's experiment intrigues you, check out the Prisoner/Guard experiments by Philip Zimbardo at Stanford. But be aware that no human subjects committee would approve either of those study designs today. We decided these types of studies are not ethical because of the harm done to the subjects. How would you feel about yourself if you agreed to 'murder' someone in another room with electrical shocks? Yeah, there were repercussions.

I’ve listened to a few podcasts with Chase Hughes, and I have to say this is one of the best. The host did a great job going deeper into the topics rather than jumping from topic to topic. This is definitely one I’m bookmarking and will listen to several times. I really appreciate the tips and process details on the subjects.

This guy is awesome. I wish ‘The Behaviour Panel’ would analyse Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s body language. Whilst the Markles would make uncomfortable viewing, it would really catapult these guys out there. The two videos on Prince Andrew is up there with some of the most stimulating viewing I have ever seen.

I learned something about myself. I came up with the difference between not thinking and realizing what I wasn’t thinking about, so I didn’t need to be implanted with the next message. (Not thinking is not thinking, realizing what you weren’t thinking about is a lesson for next time). so what do you make of me and my thought patterns?

How does overcoming phobias and addictions play into your technics when working with people , individually or corporate( big groups or companies)? I would love to control my weakness for shopping( but I do love it). I shop a lot but usually return the items, so it’s the shopping, not the spending.Help!
