Actually the pulling point has to be as low as possible. And a very low Tyre pressure. In tractor pulling, there are rules for how low your pulling point can be, for the same reason.

Just retired 30 July 2020 after 36 years in the Canadian army as a leopard tank mechanic. (RCD and 8th Hussars with zipperheads as well as armoured school in gagetown) Was with 4CER in Germany on the badger and bridge layers too. Love the leopard!!! Great video! As far as the tug of war, the rope has to be level, he just lifted your ass. You were pulling with the front wheels. Leo is 45 tons(medium battle tank) my arv (armoured recovery vehicle, Leo with a lifting arm instead of a turret) was 40 by itself and 44 with a pack on the back deck.

Monster truck has softer suspension , he can squat without bouncing , Matt's deuce was just bouncing and losing traction . Angle on the rope wasn't enough to make a difference , that was all suspension .

That’s not how that works at all. He was hopping because he didn’t have enough weight. It’s all about weight distribution, Demo should’ve put tractor tires in his bed. And Demo actually had an advantage of being lower and having the rope at a lower angle, because his truck had a lower center of gravity and leverage; it’s simple physics. Regular trucks out pull mud bogger/ monster trucks all the time in truck pulls, as long as they’re lower, have decent tread, and have tires or people in the bed to weigh it down.
