The Royal Swedish Cavalry Band, Livgardets Dragonmusikkar supporting the Mounted Changing of the Guard Parade in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday 14th August 2023. This is only the 2nd time the regiment has been on parade since the adoption of black riding helmets in replacement of the iconic picklehauben after a political safety ruling.* The original helmets are still used and can be seen in this video for dismounted duties.

When mounted guard parades happen in Stockholm, the parade departs the cavalry barracks at 11:35 and rides down in silence until Birger Jarlsgatan in central Stockholm where the band begins to play for the rest of their journey to the Royal Palace. This band is the only fully brass band in the Swedish Armed Forces.
