There is not only no need to negotiate with western powers, and frankly it would be contra productive for Russia. Even the threat of Nato involvement, aka WW3, is a hollow threat with empty shelves. They sent what they had, and it was not enough. Sending more means a serious cut into the defense ability of the whole west.
